Following the Presidency Council Meeting of the Standing Committee for Euro-Mediterranean Partnership of Local and Regional Authorities (COPPEM), the 40th COPPEM General Assembly was held online with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın.
The meetings reviewed the organization’s 2025 activities, ongoing projects for 2026, new membership processes, and institutional developments, while comprehensive discussions were held on future priorities and strategic planning.
During the General Assembly, participants also evaluated the proposal entitled “Euro-Mediterranean Transition: Bridging the Water and Energy Divide – From Policies to Action in Europe and the MENA Region.” The discussions highlighted the importance of regional cooperation in water and energy management, climate resilience, sustainable cities, and shared action across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
