Arabic rhetoric consists of three sciences: al-Ma’āni, al-Bayān, and al-Badī. Consisting of these three sciences, rhetoric is the formation of the word in a way that is equipped with good qualities and according to the addressee.
The examples of al-Badī, which is one of the three branches of Arabic rhetoric, are abundant in the verses of the Qur'an and Arabic poetry. Before the advent of Islam, before eloquence emerged and was named a science, these arts were present in the prose and poetry of the Arabs of ignorance. With the transition of Islamic sciences to writing, the literature in the field of Arabic language and rhetoric has also developed gradually.
The science of al-Badī, which was accepted as one of the sciences of al-Ma’āni and al-Bayān, was put forward as an independent science field over time and continued its existence by developing gradually.
The Abbasid caliph Ibnu'l-Mu'tez, who dealt with the subject of al-Badī for the first time in an independent book, mentioned eighteen arts in this work. As the later rhetoricians discovered other arts, the number of eloquent arts gradually increased.
Today, it is stated that the body arts exceed two hundred.

It is seen that sometimes writers go to a dream world that is far away from the real world they live in and exhibit the dreams there in order to express their ideals that came to nothing and suffering in the world. This literary phenomenon which we can call metaphysical, or imaginary is not new.
Since ancient times, people tried to invent some kind of spiritual or intellectual explanations to understand the universal facts that are happening around them. These imaginary journeys are also seen in the legends and epics before Islam, they sometimes aimed to reach the unknown realm of the dead, and sometimes to solve horizons of the future and mysteries of the unknown realm.
On the other hand, the imaginary journey served as a mirror reflecting the social life of the century in which its owner lived. One of the oldest examples of this kind of work for religious purposes is ‘’Arda Viraf’’.
This work, in addition to reflecting the Pahlavi language and its writing features, is very important for Zoroastrian believers in terms of its content and has been translated into different world languages, especially to English, French, Hindi, Persian, and Gujarati. The stories Arda Viraf told after the holy journey he took with his soul are very similar to what Prophet Muhammad saw in the Miraj.

Andalusia, which used to be a center for Islam-Europe relations in the Middle Ages, owns a wealthy background in terms of its culture and history. Andalusia has been the subject matter for numerous research on its multi-cultural and ethnic structure. Despite the fact that several research has been carried out in the west, however, there is no or little work about Andalusian culture and history in our country.
Thinking that it would contribute to supplying this deficiency, we have decided to revise and publish my doctorate thesis I prepared in 1992, “Ibn Suheyd and His Literary Personality”.
In Andalusia, scientific and cultural activities increased when political unity was obtained. There was remarkable progress in history, literature, law, philosophy, and religion. Particularly, Cordoba had become one of the most striking scientific centers in the world. In a period of retrogression in Europe, the studies in Andalusia had transported the advancements of Easts into the European mainland and took place in the course of enlightenment.

When Ahmet Rasim Tükek has asked me to write a commentary on “Karakter Sizsiniz: Değişim ve Dönüşüm Uygulamaları”, I found the opportunity to read the previously written book titled Acıdan Huzura Dönüşüm as well as the mentioned peace. In both pieces, I’ve seen extraordinary ideas of Tükek in extents of philosophy, theology, and psychology that bring joy and peace to an individual and decorate the pages in his unique method in a world where the battle of opposite notions and dazzling changes take place.
I witnessed him conveying that the secret of being a decent person is to be ‘you’ and the real peace lies under being content with your existence and what you are to the audience. Mahatma Gandhi; ‘‘A man is but a product of his thoughts. What he thinks he becomes.’’
I congratulate Ahmet Rasim Tükek for his work Karakter Sizsiniz for acknowledging the statement between the lines, which goes ‘‘what you think, you become. What you feel, you inherit. What you inherit, you value. What you value, you characterize. What you characterize, your fate is sealed.’’ Herewith, I would also like to state that I'm expecting many more pieces of work in the name of humanity.
