The 32nd General Assembly of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the Champions of Export Award Ceremony was held with great success with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Istanbul Aydın University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, relevant ministers and leading representatives of the business world.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, TIM President Mr. Mustafa Gültepe and everyone who contributed to the organization.
Prof. Dr. Aydın sincerely congratulated all award-winning companies that lead Turkey’s export journey and successfully represent our country in global markets with their value-added production.
Attending the 10th Graduation Ceremony of the Cyprus Aydin University 2024-2025 Academic Year with great energy, Cyprus Aydin University Honorary President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated that they are proud to leave behind their 12th year in the heart of the Mediterranean. The ceremony was also attended by the Speaker of the TRNC Parliament, Dr. Ziya Öztürkler, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Minister of Finance, Dr. Özdemir Berova and YÖDAK President, Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın.
In his speech at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized that the university is not only an educational institution but also a big family that is the meeting point of different cultures, languages and ideals. Stating that he feels this feeling again at every graduation ceremony, Prof. Aydın said, “The real architects of this success story are our precious families who generously support their children and our esteemed professors who devotedly raise our students.”
In his speech to the graduating students, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated that they are not only graduates but also ambassadors of peace, knowledge and conscience who will make a difference all over the world. “You are individuals who are loyal to knowledge, loyal to their conscience, and have the courage to open up to the world without breaking away from their roots,” said Prof. Dr. Aydın and expressed his belief that young people raised with these values will make the future of humanity more equal, stronger and brighter.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın wished all graduates a future full of success and finished his speech with the words “May your path be clear and your fortune be bright.”
The 38th General Assembly Meeting of the Committee on Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation of Local and Regional Authorities (COPPEM) was held online with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of Istanbul Aydın University.
During the meeting, the common will to strengthen regional solidarity, promote sustainable development and make the Mediterranean a center of peace and prosperity was once again emphasized. The commitment to jointly address the challenges faced by local governments and to develop innovative solutions in this direction was confirmed.
2024 achievements were evaluated and the goal of building a more cooperative and stronger region for 2025 came into focus. In this context, the role of local governments is more critical than ever.
COPPEM emphasized that it will continue to move regional collaboration forward in line with information sharing and innovative approaches.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of Istanbul Aydın University, witnessed the professional journey of young physicians at the 4th Term Oath Ceremony of Istanbul Aydın University, Faculty of Medicine. At the ceremony, future physicians took their first steps into their professional lives by taking the Hippocratic Oath.
In his speech to the young graduates, Prof. Dr. Aydın emphasized that they are not only doctors but also the lights of hope that will carry conscience, knowledge and humanity on their shoulders. Stating that the Hippocratic Oath is the beginning of a lifelong path of humanity, Prof. Dr. Aydın shared his wish that the path of the students will be full of science and their hearts will be full of kindness.
The oath ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Finance of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Dr. Özdemir Berova. Mr. Berova, the esteemed son of the Minister, took his first step into the profession of medicine by taking the Hippocratic Oath at the ceremony.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın thanked Dr. Berova for his kind visit and congratulated the young physician and all graduating students.
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Higher Education Planning, Supervision, Accreditation and Coordination Board (YÖDAK) President Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın visited Istanbul Aydın University.
During the visit hosted by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, a fruitful discussion was held on the development of higher education systems, raising quality standards and strengthening academic cooperation between institutions.
At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın thanked Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın for his kind visit and welcoming approach to cooperation.
The Global Sustainable Development Goals Congress, organized in cooperation with the Council of Higher Education and Times Higher Education, was held in Istanbul.
On the first day of the congress, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın came together with high-level figures such as YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, YÖK Vice President Prof. Dr. Haldun Göktaş, YÖK Executive Board Member Prof. Dr. Naci Gündoğan, Azerbaijan Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev, TRNC Minister of Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu, City University of Hong Kong President Freddy Boey and THE Global Director Phil Baty.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the opening ceremony and pointed out the role of higher education in the context of global responsibilities and sustainable development goals. In the congress, where more than 5000 academic representatives took part, issues such as internationalization in higher education, cooperation in science, digital transformation and social contribution were discussed in many aspects.
Prof. Dr. Aydın emphasized that universities are not merely centers of knowledge production, but also leading actors of social transformation, and underlined inclusiveness, sustainability and innovative approaches in education. He thanked all stakeholders who contributed to the realization of this meaningful organization.
On the third day of the Global Sustainable Development Congress, the ideas that shape the future of higher education continued to meet in Istanbul. On this platform where knowledge, vision and global collaborations came together; common wisdom was produced around the ideal of a more equal, more livable and more sustainable world.
Different languages were spoken and different perspectives were shared. The common goal was to strengthen sustainable development with concrete steps in every field.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also attended the congress, where important evaluations were made on the global responsibilities of higher education, the role of universities in transformation and collaborative development models. On the fourth and final day of the congress, not only productive sessions but also strong bonds, new projects and an inspiring vision of the future were emphasized.
At the end of the congress, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın thanked all the institutions, speakers and participants who contributed to the meaningful meeting and concluded by expressing his sincere belief that this global solidarity built together will continue to shape the future.
The Service Exporters’ Association (HİB) June Extended Committee Meeting for Educational Services was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın. At the meeting, which was also attended by Ms. Berrak Bilgen Beşergil, Head of Education and Innovative Services Department of the Ministry of Trade and Mr. Fatih Aydın, Deputy Director General for International Trade in Services of the Ministry of Trade, strategic steps to increase the export potential in the education services sector were discussed comprehensively.
During the meeting, the priority needs of the sector and the structural challenges dealt with were evaluated, and ideas were exchanged on policy recommendations and cooperation opportunities to increase international competitiveness. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized the importance of public-private sector collaborations for sustainable growth and highlighted that all steps to strengthen service exports in education should be supported.
Küçükçekmece City Council Board of Directors June Meeting was held under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın. At the meeting, projects that will improve the social and cultural life of Küçükçekmece and increase environmental awareness were discussed in detail.
During the meeting, current activities were evaluated, priorities for the next period were determined and new ideas to strengthen local participation were exchanged. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized the importance of sustainable projects for the benefit of society and stated that they will continue to produce with common sense and collaboration.
The June Executive Board Meeting of the Eurasian Universities Association (EURAS) was led by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın. At the meeting, new period strategies that will adapt to the rapid changes in the world were discussed comprehensively.
At the meeting, projects aimed at enhancing collaboration among member universities on a regional and global scale were evaluated, and a road map was created for joint initiatives that will shape the education of young people.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın highlighted the importance of studies aiming excellence in education and based on sustainable cooperation, and emphasized that universities under the roof of EURAS should move forward with determination in line with this vision.
Board of Directors June Meeting of UFRAD Franchising Association was held under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın and hosted by Istanbul Aydın University.
During the meeting, while the activities of the previous period were evaluated, new period projects, sectoral developments and strategic road map were discussed in detail with the contributions of the committees within UFRAD. Participants exchanged views on the steps to be taken in line with the association’s sustainable growth targets.
At the end of the meeting, UFRAD President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın was thanked for his hospitality and contributions.
