The opening of the 32nd exhibition of the UFRAD Franchising Association, Franchise Istanbul Expo Fair, organized in collaboration with TÜYAP, took place at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center. The fair featured participants from investors from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Iran, and 60 other countries, along with international franchise associations.

Organized in partnership with TÜYAP, a strong leader in the industry, the fair showcased successful, active, and dynamic brands. With franchise systems, the fair presented unique and different flavors from food brands that are results of Turkey’s rich history and cuisine. Additionally, prominent real estate and property consultancy brands, in proportion to Turkey’s large construction sector, were recognized. Many individuals admired the high-quality services provided in the education sector. Within this context, domestic and national software and digital innovations were acknowledged, bringing together franchise brands from different sectors.

On the first day of the Franchise Istanbul Expo Fair, a collaboration protocol was signed with the Iran Franchising Association by UFRAD Franchising Association.

During the opening speech at the fair held at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center, UFRAD President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın emphasized the importance of branding and warned, “If we do not create our own brands and ensure the global growth of the brands we create, we will be condemned to be dominated by international and well-known brands.”

The keynote speaker of the January meeting of the Western Platform, held with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the President of Istanbul Aydin University (IAÜ), and the faculty members of Istanbul Aydin University, was Mustafa Sani Şener, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of TAV Airports.

Following the presentation and evaluation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın made the following statement: “We listened to Mr. Şener’s vast knowledge and experience, especially regarding developments in the aviation sector. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Sani Şener for his participation.”

The fortieth session of the conference series titled “Conversations with Trade Advisors by HIB” organized online by the Services Exporters Association (HİB) operating under the umbrella of the Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM) was held on January 31, 2024, with a focus on Uzbekistan.

The online program, which began with an opening speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Vice President of the HİB Board of Directors, continued with presentations by Ahmet Melih Horata, the Trade Advisor in Tashkent, and Abdullah Keskin, Deputy Secretary-General of HİB.

Presentations containing detailed information about Uzbekistan covered topics such as the general economic outlook, investments, foreign trade, Turkey-Uzbekistan bilateral trade, and the service sectors. Following the presentations, questions from representatives of participating companies were answered.

Honorary President of Cyprus Science University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, visited CSU to conduct some inspections.

During his visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın held a comprehensive evaluation meeting with the participation of academic and administrative staff, where he also met with students.

The meeting involved assessments of current activities and projects, discussions on solutions to current issues, and ideas for future planning. Additionally, Aydın visited the new building construction at CSU and shared his insights on process acceleration.

Nuriddin Amankul, the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul, visited Istanbul Aydin University (IAÜ). During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of IAÜ, and Nuriddin Amankul had a comprehensive discussion about educational collaborations between the two countries.

The Evaluation Meeting of Services Exporters Association (HIB), operating under the umbrella of the Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM), was hosted by Sekib Avdagiç, the Chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO).

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Vice President of HIB, Salih Zeki Çakır, and Mehmet Erdoğan, the Treasurer of HİB. Held at the headquarters of ITO, discussions were held on the activities for the new period, current issues in various sectors and proposed solutions to these problems.

Prof. Dr. Turgay Avcı, the President of the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Coordination Board of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), visited Istanbul Aydin University (IAU). During the visit, Avcı also participated in the Intellectual Thought Platform meeting and conducted an inspection tour of the university after the meeting. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the President of IAU, hosted Avcı in his office and expressed his gratitude for his visit.

The January meeting of the Intellectual Thought Platform was held. Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and President of the Council of Elders of Turkic States, Binali Yıldırım, participated as the keynote speaker.

During his speech, Binali Yıldırım touched upon historical points that will shape Turkey’s century and answered questions from the participants. The meeting was also attended by the Governor of Istanbul, Davut Gül, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the President of Istanbul Aydin University (IAÜ).

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın presented a plaque to Binali Yıldırım, expressing gratitude for honoring IAÜ with his extraordinary knowledge, experience, and presence.

The January board meeting of Küçükçekmece City Council was held. The meeting was attended by council and commission chairs.

Hosted by Gökhan Aygün, a member of the Executive Board of Küçükçekmece City Council and a member of the Küçükçekmece Municipal Council, the meeting took place at the Elit World Hotel.

Discussions were held during the meeting regarding the current planned projects, and views were exchanged on new goals.
