İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi (İAÜ) Mütevelli Heyet Başkanı Doç. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Türkiye’de eğitim alan ve Karabağ Savaşı’nda şehit olan Mehmet Mamadova’nın ailesine başsağlığı ziyareti gerçekleştirdi.
Şehit ailesini ziyaretinde üzüntülerini dile getiren Aydın; gençlerin vatan sevgisine ve iki kardeş ülkenin millî bilincindeki benzerliğe vurgu yaparak, bu bilincin gelişmesinde eğitimin üstlendiği role dikkat çekti.
Aydın, gençlerin tarih öğrenmesinin ülkelerine olan bağlılığını artırdığını ve millî duygularını perçinlediğini de ifade etti. Tarih şuurunun insanı her açıdan kuşattığını belirten Aydın; sanattan edebiyata, dilden düşünceye, politikadan ekonomiye, sağlıktan spora, meteorolojiden jeolojiye, doğadan toplum psikolojisine değin her konunun ancak geçmiş bağlamıyla ele alındığında kavranabildiğini ifade etti. Toplumdaki ‘Biz Bilinci’nin temelinde de tarihin yattığını aktaran Aydın, “Toprak üzerinde yaşanılan bir tarih varsa vatan olur. Yaşanılan toprağa kimlik veren, tarihtir.” dedi.
“OUR CONSCIOUSNESS IS BASED ON HISTORY”
The president of Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın paid a visit to the family of Mehmet Mamadova, who was educated in Turkey and was martyred in the Karabakh War to express condolence.
Aydın expressed his sadness during his visit to the family of the martyr. Aydın emphasized the patriotism of the youth and the similarity in the national consciousness of the two brotherly countries, he drew attention to the role of education in the development of this consciousness.
Aydın also stated that learning history increases their commitment to their country and reinforces their national feelings among young people. Aydın stated that the consciousness of history surrounds people in every aspect; he stated that every subject from art to literature, from language to thought, from politics to economy, from health to sports, from meteorology to geology, from nature to social psychology can only be grasped in the context of the past. Stating that history is the basis of the “We Consciousness” in the society, Aydın said, “If there is a history on the soil, it becomes a homeland. History gives identity to the inhabited land.” said.
