The Evaluation Meeting of Services Exporters Association (HIB), operating under the umbrella of the Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM), was hosted by Sekib Avdagiç, the Chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO).

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Vice President of HIB, Salih Zeki Çakır, and Mehmet Erdoğan, the Treasurer of HİB. Held at the headquarters of ITO, discussions were held on the activities for the new period, current issues in various sectors and proposed solutions to these problems.

Prof. Dr. Turgay Avcı, the President of the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Coordination Board of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), visited Istanbul Aydin University (IAU). During the visit, Avcı also participated in the Intellectual Thought Platform meeting and conducted an inspection tour of the university after the meeting. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the President of IAU, hosted Avcı in his office and expressed his gratitude for his visit.

The January meeting of the Intellectual Thought Platform was held. Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and President of the Council of Elders of Turkic States, Binali Yıldırım, participated as the keynote speaker.

During his speech, Binali Yıldırım touched upon historical points that will shape Turkey’s century and answered questions from the participants. The meeting was also attended by the Governor of Istanbul, Davut Gül, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the President of Istanbul Aydin University (IAÜ).

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın presented a plaque to Binali Yıldırım, expressing gratitude for honoring IAÜ with his extraordinary knowledge, experience, and presence.

KÜÇÜKÇEKMECE CITY COUNCIL BOARD MEETING WAS HELD

The January board meeting of Küçükçekmece City Council was held. The meeting was attended by council and commission chairs.

Hosted by Gökhan Aygün, a member of the Executive Board of Küçükçekmece City Council and a member of the Küçükçekmece Municipal Council, the meeting took place at the Elit World Hotel.

Discussions were held during the meeting regarding the current planned projects, and views were exchanged on new goals.

Former Minister of Treasury and Finance Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nureddin Nebati visited Istanbul Aydin University (IAU). During his visit, N. Nebati met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydin, the President of IAU, and exchanged ideas on various topics, including the contributions of internationalization in education to the country’s economy. Subsequently, discussions were held on potential collaborations within the scope of future activities and projects at IAU.

On January 15, 2024, the President of the Azerbaijan Franchise Association, Camid Mövsümov, visited Istanbul Aydin University (IAU).

During the meeting, evaluations were made regarding the UFRAD Franchise Istanbul Expo Fair, which will take place between February 6-10, 2024. Following this, Camid Mövsümov presented a gift to Istanbul Aydin University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydin, the President of İAÜ, expressed his thanks for Mövsümov’s kind gifts.

Services Exporters Association (HIB) held its board meeting for the month of January. The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Sezai Uçarmak, and the Chairman of HİB, Şekib Avdagiç, was attended by board members as well.

During the meeting, evaluations regarding service exports were made, and discussions were held on sectoral issues. Additionally, there was an exchange of ideas about solution proposals for addressing current problems.

During the first meeting of the year, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın evaluated solution options. They also shared views on the activities and projects planned for 2024.

Turkish Franchising Association December board meeting held under the presidency of UFRAD President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın with participation of UFRAD members.

At the last meeting of the 2023, new membership applications were evaluated and current activity plans were discussed.  In addition, ideas on new term projects and Franchise İstanbul Expo that will be held on 6-10 February 2024 were exchanged.
