The Eurasian Higher Education Summit (EURIE 2026) was successfully completed after a three-day intensive program held in Istanbul between April 7–9.

The summit brought together higher education institutions, academics, and sector representatives from around the world.

Throughout the summit, numerous sessions comprehensively addressed the future of higher education, internationalization strategies, and academic cooperation.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized that EURIE is not only a summit but also a strategic platform that strengthens global academic dialogue, underlining the importance of such organizations in supporting Türkiye’s goal of becoming an international hub in higher education.

EURIE 2026 concluded with significant outcomes in terms of global cooperation and the development of a shared vision in higher education.

EURIE 2026 continued on its second day with an intensive program addressing key issues shaping the future of higher education.

Within the scope of the program, numerous parallel sessions were held focusing on academic mobility, international student recruitment, digitalization, and new approaches in higher education.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of EURAS, met with higher education representatives from Pakistan and Bulgaria. The meetings addressed academic collaborations, student and academic mobility, as well as joint and dual degree programs.

The engagements carried out throughout the second day contributed significantly to the development of new international partnership opportunities in higher education.

The Eurasian Higher Education Summit (EURIE 2026), organized for the 11th time this year by the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS), commenced with strong participation at the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Delivering the opening speech, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of EURAS and President of Istanbul Aydın University, emphasized the competencies that will stand out in the future of the business world.

The opening session brought together prominent stakeholders of higher education, including the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, along with university representatives and academics from different parts of the world.

On the first day of the summit, key topics such as internationalization in higher education, academic collaborations, and strengthening global education networks were addressed through numerous sessions and meetings.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also held international meetings throughout the day and shared evaluations on developing a common vision in higher education, highlighting EURIE as a strong academic platform bringing together different geographies.
