The Board of Directors March meeting of the Service Exporters’ Association was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın. At the meeting, critical issues were discussed in order to ensure Turkey’s sustainable growth in services exports and increase its effectiveness in the global market.
Participants evaluated new projects that will contribute to the development of the sector in line with strategic goals, and exchanged ideas on the road map to be followed to make service exports more competitive and innovative.
At the meeting, which was shaped with the contributions of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, important decisions were taken for the future of the sector.
February Board of Directors meeting of the Service Exporters’ Association (HİB) was held. At the meeting, global developments in the service export sector were evaluated in detail, while strategies to increase Turkey’s competitiveness in the international market were discussed.
At the meeting, where the activities carried out to strengthen Turkey’s service exports in many fields, especially education, health, tourism and logistics, were evaluated, new collaborations and projects to support sectoral growth were discussed.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Vice President of HİB, emphasized the importance of such consultations in order to maximize Turkey’s potential in service exports and stated that efforts will continue with commitment for a stronger and sustainable growth in the global arena.
The January Board of Directors Meeting of the Services Exporters Association (HIB) was held with the wide participation of sector representatives. HİB Board Member Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, 2025 goals and strategic plans were discussed in detail, while efforts to increase Turkey’s strength in services exports and innovative steps for the future of the sector were emphasized. Policies and collaborations to increase global competition power in the sector were evaluated, and projects that will make the growth of service exports sustainable were discussed.
The “Education Services Sector Agency Workshop” organized by the Education Services Committee of the Service Exporters Association (HİB) was held with significant participation. The workshop, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Vice President of the HİB Board of Directors and Chairman of the Education Services Committee, with the participation of Tarık Sönmez, Director General of International Service Trade at the Ministry of Trade, and Dr. Fatih Özer, Secretary General of the Association, aimed to evaluate the views and suggestions of universities and agencies operating in the education services sector.
During the workshop, the views and suggestions of universities and agencies operating in the education services sector were evaluated. Important assessments were made regarding the current state of the sector and strategies for the future, with solution proposals presented. Participants agreed that strengthening the cooperation between universities and agencies would significantly contribute to the sector. The need to resolve sectoral issues and take steps to establish a healthier structure was also emphasized.
The workshop highlighted the significant economic potential of the education services sector. This year, educational exports reached $2.1 billion, with expectations for them to increase to $2.4-2.5 billion by 2025. Turkey ranks 10th globally in terms of foreign student numbers, and it was emphasized that increasing the country’s brand value is key to boosting its revenue rankings. The need to support the branding process of universities and strengthen the role of agencies in the sector was underlined.
The workshop concluded with solution proposals aimed at building a stronger foundation for the sector. The importance of strengthening Turkey’s position in the international education services market was emphasized, not only for economic reasons but also for cultural and diplomatic opportunities. In this new phase, it was stressed that all stakeholders must work together to achieve common goals.

The 46th event of the “Trade Counselors with HİB Talks” webinar series, titled “Trade Counselors with HİB Talks – Iraq,” was held with the participation of Baghdad Trade Counselors Abdullah Fatih Çelenk, Naci Bahadır Şanver, Basra Trade Attaché Sedat Ürey, Erbil Trade Attachés Akın Ak, Kemal Bahadır, and Mosul Trade Attaché Eren Zengin. The event was moderated by HİB Vice Presidents Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın and Salih Zeki Çakır. In the online program, the Trade Counselors and Attachés of Iraq made detailed presentations on service export and related service sectors.
The 6th Service Exporters Association (HİB) 2023 Service Export Champions Award Ceremony took place with great pride. Before the ceremony, a meeting was held with the participation of Turkey’s Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and HİB Board Members. The meeting focused on Turkey’s current status in service exports, the country’s place in global competition, and future goals. Challenges faced by the sector and solutions were discussed, and strategies to advance service exports were explored. Minister Bolat emphasized the importance of continuing steps to position Turkey as a leading country in service exports.

The ceremony was attended by Minister Bolat, HİB President Şekib Avdagiç, Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) President Mustafa Gültepe, and other business leaders, to celebrate successes in service exports. Companies that have successfully represented Turkey globally received their awards, and the importance of service exports and future objectives were once again highlighted. Minister Bolat, President Avdagiç, President Gültepe, and all those who contributed to the event were thanked, and award-winning companies were wholeheartedly congratulated.
