President of Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the meeting on “National Technology Strategy Structuring Model Proposal” which aims to guide Turkey’s technology vision. The meeting, hosted by IAU, was held with the presence of the Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır; Deputy Minister Mr. Zekeriya Coştu, General Manager of Informatics Valley Mr. Erkam Tüzgen, General Manager of Strategic Research and Productivity Mr. Abdullah Başar, General Manager of Industry Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Ar and expert academics.

This strategic meeting, which was shaped with the goal of building a fully independent and strong Türkiye that responds to the needs of the digital age and is a pioneer in global competition, was evaluated as an important step that reveals the future vision of our country in the field of technology. It was underlined that the work carried out within the scope of the National Technology Move will further advance the understanding of domestic and national production.

At the meeting, Istanbul Aydın University’s work in the field of technology and innovation was also presented by academics with a comprehensive presentation. At the end of the meeting, Psikod Team, which achieved outstanding success in TEKNOFEST 2024 Technological Applications Category and Champions League, and Nova UAV Team, which won the “Best Team Spirit” award, received their awards from the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır.

In addition, Metapiens team, one of the entrepreneurs within TEKMER, introduced the university’s first virtual student AILA to the Minister and presented the special model they developed. After the meeting, student teams preparing for TEKNOFEST 2025 came together and wished them success. Istanbul Aydın University’s pioneering approach in the field of technology and innovation will continue on its way by strengthening in integration with national strategies emphasized.
