The Education Services Committee of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) held its September meeting under the leadership of Committee Chairman Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın. The meeting focused on the details of the agency accreditation process, emphasizing key criteria. Strategic steps were outlined with a shared roadmap aimed at raising standards in higher education and enhancing service quality. Following this, current efforts were evaluated, and plans for future projects were discussed.
The Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) held a meeting for the Foreign Exchange Earning Services Working Group, during which discussions and evaluations were made regarding the planning of upcoming initiatives.
Following this, the DEİK Executive Board meeting for August took place. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, a DEİK Board member, attended the meeting. During the session, global economic developments, foreign trade strategies, and opportunities facing the business world were thoroughly discussed. Additionally, projects aimed at enhancing our country’s competitiveness in international markets were evaluated.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Service Exporters’ Association (HİB), attended the “August 2024 Foreign Trade Figures Press Conference” program, which was held with the participation of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Mustafa Gültepe, TİM Board Members, Union Presidents, and Exporters.
The program included a comprehensive assessment of the current state of international trade and strategies. In his speech, Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat emphasized the importance of increasing our country’s export performance and enhancing our global competitiveness. He also provided key insights into the steps to be taken towards increasing exports and achieving economic growth targets.
In this context, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “As the Service Exporters’ Association, we are proud to have achieved a 7.5% increase in service exports, reaching 71 billion dollars in the first 8 months of 2024, according to our projections. I extend my gratitude to our Minister, Mr. Mustafa Gültepe, Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, and all the participants who contributed to the event. We will continue our collaborative efforts and strategies to further enhance Turkey’s export success and take bigger steps in foreign trade!”
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın visited Mr. Ekrem Serim, the Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia, at his office.
During the meeting, topics such as education, academic exchange programs, and student mobility between the two countries were discussed. At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for his kind hospitality and wished him success in his work.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Honorary President of Cyprus Science University (CSU), along with CSU President Fatma Nur Aydın and former Rector of Istanbul Aydın University Prof. Dr. Yadigâr İzmirli, visited Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın, President of the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Coordination Council (YÖDAK), at his office.
During the visit, important discussions were held regarding strategic collaborations in higher education and current projects. The status of higher education in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and recent developments were also evaluated. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın expressed his gratitude by saying, “We thank Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın for his kind hospitality and wish him success in his endeavors.”
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Honorary President of Cyprus Science University (CSU), visited the university to evaluate the registration office operations and the ongoing construction of the new building.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın received detailed information about the progress of the projects. He also shared his suggestions regarding future work and planning.
The Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) ElektroAydın Team has advanced to the finals of the “EFFICIENCY CHALLENGE” Electric Vehicle Competition at TEKNOFEST, after passing through 16 judging panels. IAU Board of Trustees President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın visited the ElektroAydın team at their workspace.
In this context, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın said, “I sincerely congratulate our ElektroAydın Team for advancing to the finals of the ‘EFFICIENCY CHALLENGE’ Electric Vehicle Competition after passing TEKNOFEST’s rigorous selection process. Ahmad Mohammadi, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Istanbul, visited Istanbul Aydın University (IAU).
IAU Board of Trustees President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “We were very pleased to host Consul General. During our meeting, we had a productive discussion on advancing academic and cultural collaborations between Iran and Türkiye.
