The May Board of Directors Meeting of the Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED) was held.
During the meeting, ongoing activities were reviewed, and discussions were held on future plans, initiatives aimed at strengthening regional cooperation, and measures to enhance inter-university interaction.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended an information meeting on service export support programs organized by the Foreign Exchange-Earning Services Working Group of DEİK.
The meeting focused on enhancing Türkiye’s service export potential, strengthening the global competitiveness of related sectors, and establishing a sustainable growth framework.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the Belgian Economic Mission Program held with the participation of Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat.
Organized by DEİK, the program was also attended by Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prévot, Minister of Foreign Trade and Defense Theo Francken, Deputy Minister of Trade Mustafa Tuzcu, and DEİK President Nail Olpak. Within the scope of the Türkiye–Belgium Business Forum, attended by more than 420 businesspeople representing over 200 Belgian companies, opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment, entrepreneurship, and education were discussed.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of the Istanbul Aydın University, attended the “4th Gaza Support Auction” organized in cooperation with ASKON and the Palestine Support Platform.
The program brought together representatives of the business community and civil society organizations to raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and strengthen solidarity efforts.
At the May Meeting of the West Platform, Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Duran, Head of Communications of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, participated as the guest speaker.
The program featured extensive discussions on Türkiye’s communication vision, public diplomacy, and strategic communication approaches. Participants from various disciplines also exchanged views on digital transformation, international media language, combating disinformation, and preparing younger generations for a rapidly changing world.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the Türkiye–Saudi Arabia Roundtable Meeting held in Ankara with the participation of Deputy Minister of Trade Mustafa Tuzcu and Saudi Deputy Minister of Investment Ibrahim Yusuf Al Mubarak.
Organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), the meeting addressed economic and commercial relations between the two countries while also exploring investment opportunities and cooperation in international contracting services.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the Türkiye–Algeria Business Forum held in Ankara as part of the official visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Türkiye.
The forum, attended by Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and Algerian Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion Kamel Rezig, focused on economic and commercial relations between the two countries.
Following the forum, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın met with Minister Kamel Rezig to discuss opportunities for strengthening commercial, economic, and academic cooperation between Türkiye and Algeria.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Honorary President of Cyprus Aydın University, conducted on-site inspections of the university’s additional campus development projects.
Evaluating the ongoing initiatives, Prof. Dr. Aydın stated that they will continue to produce, develop, and create value for future generations.
As part of the visit, he also toured the International Aydın Student Residence and noted that it provides students with a comfortable, secure, and nature-friendly living environment.
