A Mevlit ceremony was held at the T Block mosque of Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) in honor of the late Ayşe Çebi, the mother of Küçükçekmece Mayor Kemal Çebi. The ceremony was attended by IAU President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Mayor Kemal Çebi, and the deputy mayors of Küçükçekmece.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Turkish Airlines, along with Mehmet Erdoğan, Member of the Board of TAV, Hediye Güral, Chairman of NG Hotels, and Banu Dedeman, President of Dedeman Holding, visited Istanbul Aydın University (IAU).
During the visit, discussions were held regarding new regions in Turkey for cultural tourism. Ideas were exchanged on the development of these regions. Following the meeting, IAU President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, expressed his gratitude for the pleasant discussions and the visit.
The October meeting of the Western Platform, a think tank of Istanbul Aydın University (IAU), was held. The guest speaker for this meeting was T.R. Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç.
During the meeting, development projects in the western regions, as well as collaboration between education, the business world, and the public sector, were discussed. In this context, IAU President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “These initiatives, which focus on social development, play a significant role in regional development both academically and economically. As IAÜ, we will continue to contribute to Turkey’s development through the academic and social responsibility projects of the Western Platform!”

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, IAU President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, IAU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hakkı Aydın, and many academics.
After the opening speeches by Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hakkı Aydın, Deputy Rector of IAU, and President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, T.C. Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç delivered the opening lecture.
Following this, T.C. Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç presented awards to the academics who were included in the 2024 World’s Most Influential Scientists list, which was announced in collaboration with Elsevier and Stanford University. He congratulated the academics for their contributions to science and international success, and expressed gratitude to Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of IAÜ, for his continuous support of academics.
IAU October Board Meeting was held with the administrative team of Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) in October. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of IAU, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the university’s strategic goals for the new academic year and future projects. Existing issues were discussed, and evaluations were made regarding the plans in place. In this context, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “As always, I express my gratitude to my esteemed colleagues who work alongside me to enhance the quality of education. I am confident that as the IAÜ family, we will raise our success bar even higher. Together, we will continue to achieve new successes.”
The October Board Meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) was held, focusing on strengthening Turkey’s international trade and creating new opportunities. Important topics were discussed in light of global economic dynamics, and steps were determined to ensure that Turkish businesses play a more active role on the international stage. The meeting emphasized increasing collaboration and partnerships, exploring new markets, and contributing to Turkey’s economic vision.
The meeting was also attended by Christian Wulff, the 10th President of the Federal Republic of Germany and Chairman of the German-Turkish Business Council. In his speech, Mr. Wulff highlighted the importance of strengthening commercial relations between Turkey and Germany and creating new business opportunities between the two countries.
DEIK FOREIGN EXCHANGE-EARNING SERVICES WORKING GROUP WORKSHOP AND BOARD MEETING HELD
tarihinde yayınlandı DEIK, NewsA workshop of the DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board) Foreign Exchange-Earning Services Working Group was organized, with Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Board Member of DEİK, participating in the event.
During the workshop, the current status of Turkey in this sector and future opportunities were evaluated. Topics such as sustainability, new service areas, and the reshaping of workforce needs were discussed. The importance of not only staying competitive in existing markets but also creating new market opportunities and taking strong steps in this direction was emphasized.
Following the workshop, the DEİK Foreign Exchange-Earning Services Working Group’s Executive Board Meeting for October was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın. The meeting, which was attended by company representatives from various sectors, focused on addressing the current problems and proposing solutions for these sectors, as well as discussing the future activities of the Working Group and strategies to enhance Turkey’s potential in foreign exchange-earning services. Key decisions were made regarding projects to increase access to international markets and in line with the 2025 targets.
The IAUP held its 20th Triennial Conference in Beijing, China, from October 13 to 15, 2024. This gathering of higher education leaders focused on the theme “Generative AI and the Future of Higher Education,” addressing the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on universities.
More than 60 international speakers shared their insights on how AI is reshaping educational structures, teaching, and learning globally. Topics such as the ethical dimensions of AI, fostering innovation in education, governance, talent development, and the overall role of AI in shaping the future of higher education were discussed.
Istanbul Aydın University President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, also participated online, highlighting the importance of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education. In his speech, he stated: “The integration of artificial intelligence into university governance, along with the technological revolution we have experienced in recent years, requires us to rethink university operations. Otherwise, one of the most critical elements here would be to overlook the contributions that AI and technology bring to data-driven decision-making processes.”
The October Board of Directors meeting of the Turkish Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) was held, with Vice President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın in attendance.
During the meeting, current issues faced by various sectors within service exports were thoroughly discussed, and comprehensive evaluations were made to develop effective solutions. Strategic steps to enhance the sectors’ international competitiveness were then addressed, and a roadmap for the coming period was established. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın remarked, “As HIB, we will continue to work with determination to fully realize Turkey’s potential in service exports and to advance our sector even further”
