The August Board Meeting of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) was held. The meeting, attended by HIB Vice President and Chairman of the Education Services Committee, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, included a detailed discussion on the current issues faced by different sectors of service exports. Comprehensive evaluations were made to develop effective solutions for these problems. Following this, the meeting focused on strategic steps to enhance the international competitiveness of these sectors and set a roadmap for the upcoming period.

HIB Vice President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the signing ceremony of the Export Academy Cooperation Protocol, which was held with the participation of the Minister of Trade, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, and the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar.
In this context, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “As part of the training and seminar programs organized by our Ministry of Trade to provide our exporters with a competitive edge in international markets, we have witnessed the establishment of the ‘Export Academy.’ This important step was taken to enhance the quality of the workforce in the field of foreign trade and to enrich educational content with support from the academic community. This signing ceremony has contributed to institutionalizing trade education in our country. The Export Academy will enhance our competitiveness in foreign trade and significantly contribute to training a qualified workforce. I hope that this cooperation between our Ministry of Trade and the Council of Higher Education will be the beginning of steps that will further elevate our country’s export potential.”
The August Board Meeting of the UFRAD Franchising Association was held under the chairmanship of UFRAD President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın and hosted by UFRAD Board Member and Chairman of Bursa Kebap Evi, Cem Helvacı. During the meeting, a detailed evaluation of the association’s activities was conducted, and the processes for new memberships were discussed. Strategic steps regarding potential members were also debated. Additionally, comprehensive planning was carried out for the organization and strategies of the Franchise Istanbul Expo 2025, with an exchange of ideas on how the expo could be a more effective platform for the industry.
Following the UFRAD August Board Meeting, a Round Table Meeting was organized. During this meeting, attended by UFRAD members, expectations and goals for the year 2024 were discussed, and critical decisions were made to ensure the sustainable growth of the sector and the strengthening of brands at both national and international levels. In particular, in-depth analyses of global trends in the franchising sector and local market dynamics were conducted to develop strategies for best leveraging future opportunities.
UFRAD President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın concluded the meeting by thanking Cem Helvacı for hosting and all members for attending, expressing his hope that the decisions made will contribute to the development of the sectors and that UFRAD brands will have a stronger presence in the global arena.
The August Board Meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) was held. As a DEİK Board Member, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also participated in the meeting, where steps to further strengthen the country’s foreign economic relations were discussed, with a focus on strategic planning.
In this context, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “We have made important decisions on entering foreign markets, increasing international collaborations, and ensuring that the Turkish business community plays a more active role on the global stage. We will continue to work resolutely to contribute to Türkiye’s economic growth.”
IAU FACULTY OF DENTISTRY GRADUATION CEREMONY HELD

The ceremony was attended by IAU President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hakkı Aydın, vice-rectors, deans, and many academicians.
In his speech at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın said, “We are proud to send off our young and talented dentists on a new journey. We sincerely believe that these successful doctors, who have been trained with years of effort and dedication, will make significant contributions to the field of healthcare. We wish all our graduating students’ success in their professional careers and hope their paths are always clear.”
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, together with MedicalPark Chairman of the Board Muharrem Usta, visited Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor A. Metin Genç and Ortahisar Municipality Mayor Ahmet Kaya. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “I congratulate you on your new position and wish you success.”
They then visited İsmail Hakkı Aydın, Director of Fatih Children’s Homes, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Rıza Aydın, Chief Physician of Kanuni Hospital, where he got the chance to reconnect with them.
The August Board Meeting of the Turkish Anti-Smoking Association (TSSD) was held. The meeting focused on the details of the international conference to be organized for World No Tobacco Day on November 20th and made plans for new projects and activities for the upcoming period.
TSSD President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the meeting and stated, “Our goal is to raise awareness about quitting smoking on a global scale and provide the most up-to-date information in this field. We are preparing a strong program with expert speakers. Additionally, in the coming period, we aim to organize various events and campaigns to improve public health. Together, we are taking steps toward a healthier future by waging a war against smoking!”
The August Board Meeting of the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) was held. The meeting, chaired by EURAS President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, took significant decisions made on regional education strategies and inter-university collaboration. Subsequently, evaluations of ongoing projects and planning for future projects were conducted. There was also an exchange of ideas on the importance of sustaining contributions to the field of education.
As part of the Tunisia meetings, İstanbul Aydın University has signed a mou with Carthage University. In this context, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of IAU, stated, “This important agreement will further deepen our international academic collaborations and create new opportunities for students and faculty members. We extend our sincere thanks to Carthage University President Nadia Mzoughi Aguir for her excellent hosting and hospitality during this process. This collaboration will build a strong bridge between the two universities and make a difference in the academic world through joint projects, research, and cultural interactions. We are confident that we will achieve success together in the new term. We look forward to our future projects and collaborations!”
A highly productive and significant meeting was held with Prof. Moez Chafra, President of El Manar University of Tunisia. During this meeting, a protocol was signed to strengthen academic and cultural cooperation between the two universities. In this regard, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “We thank Rector Prof. Moez Chafra and the university team for their excellent hospitality. This cooperation will enhance the educational quality of both universities and create new opportunities in various areas such as student and academic staff exchange programs, joint research projects, and cultural events. We are very excited about the projects and activities we will implement in the future. As İstanbul Aydın University, we continue our efforts to expand our international cooperation network and reach more students and academics worldwide.”
A cooperation protocol was signed between Istanbul Aydın University and Monauba University of Tunisia. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın said, “We express our gratitude to Monauba University President Prof. Dr. Jouhaina Gherib and her valuable team for their hospitality. We believe this partnership will make significant contributions to the development of both universities.”
On the final day of the Tunisia visit, UNIMED Board Member Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın had a meeting with the UNIMED Secretary General. During this meeting, a comprehensive evaluation was conducted on the current status of UNIMED and the General Assembly meeting held on October 22 at İstanbul Aydın University, hosted by Prof. Dr. Hamid Bin Aziza, Secretary General of the Union of the Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED) and former President of Tunis University.
