Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Vice Chairman of the HIB Board of Directors, and Tunisian Ambassador Ahmet Misbah Demircan jointly inaugurated the OKTAMAM Fair.
During his speech at the Turkish Universities Fair held in Tunisia, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized that universities should have national and global goals in training qualified individuals who will become responsible citizens of Türkiye and the world.
In an interview at the fair, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın highlighted the significance of the “Study in Türkiye” brand, stating, “We inaugurated the Turkish Universities Fair with the participation of 20 of our universities in Tunisia. As the Service Exporters Association (HİB), we are working intensively to open new markets for our educational services and attract more international students to our country. I extend my gratitude to our Tunisian Ambassador Ahmet Misbah Demircan for his support and presence at this important event. Together, we are stepping towards a stronger future in education! Making our country an international attraction center in higher education and demonstrating the quality of our educational services is a national issue. Since 2010, we have increased the number of foreign students from 30,000 to 340,000 today. The role of our ‘Study in Türkiye’ brand has been crucial in this success. Through fairs, promotions, and events held in over 30 countries each year, we highlight our country’s strength in international education. According to UNESCO data, Türkiye is among the top ten countries for international student numbers. Our goal is to be among the top five countries supplying international students. Educational diplomacy is of critical importance for the future of our country!”
