On the second day of his visit to Azerbaijan, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın appeared live on Azerbaijan ARB TV. During the broadcast, he evaluated Turkey-Azerbaijan relations, educational collaborations, and Turkey’s role in Azerbaijan-Armenia relations. Following this, he met with local partners in Azerbaijan to discuss and propose solutions to issues related to the recruitment of international students. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “We continue to work together to ensure that more students have access to educational opportunities.”
Before a seminar at Azerbaijan 7th High School, he gave an interview where the latest developments in education and collaborations between Azerbaijani and Turkish universities were discussed. The seminar titled “Leadership in Education: The Secret to Success,” organized for high school principals, saw a large turnout. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized, “Education is not only the transfer of knowledge but also a guidance process. Leadership emerges as an element that directs and transforms this process. The secret to success lies in harmoniously combining these two elements. Leadership in education is about uncovering the potential of students and staff. It involves not just teaching knowledge but also inspiring, guiding, and helping them overcome obstacles. A good leader shares their vision, motivates people, and gives them courage. However, one must remember that success is not only individual but also team-based. A good leader encourages teamwork, allows everyone to utilize their strengths, and unites differences. Leadership in education is the art of ensuring this unity. We wish all our principals success in their challenging journey of teaching and leadership, and we thank Ms. Gönül Tahmezova, the Principal of the 7th High School, for her wonderful hospitality.”
Before the subsequent conference, students welcomed the guests with Azerbaijan’s local folk dance “Tarab” and the song “Çırpınırdı Karadeniz” written by Azerbaijani poet Ahmet Cevat Hacıbeyli. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın remarked, “Their stage performance and dedication are commendable. We congratulate them!” The conference then proceeded with discussions on educational opportunities in Turkey with the principals of leading high schools.
At the end of the day, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın visited the Azerbaijan office of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD) and met with the board members. During the meeting, they evaluated future projects with the MÜSİAD Azerbaijan Education and Culture Commission. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın thanked MÜSİAD Azerbaijan President Reşad Cabirli for their hospitality. Later, he attended dinner invitations from the President of the Azerbaijan Press Council and media members, where Turkey-Azerbaijan relations were further evaluated.
