The February Board of Directors Meeting of the Service Exporters Association (HIB) was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın.

During the meeting, the activities carried out in the previous period were comprehensively reviewed. Discussions also focused on the objectives for 2026, priority areas of work and the strategic roadmap ahead. Participants exchanged views on policies and practices that would support sustainable growth in service exports.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın participated in the “Collective Impact Meetings” organized by the Turkish Red Crescent. During the program, participants received first-hand information about the Turkish Red Crescent’s humanitarian aid activities, social support projects, and initiatives aimed at strengthening social solidarity.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for mutual evaluations on enhancing inter-institutional cooperation and expanding areas of collective impact.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized the importance of reinforcing social solidarity through strong institutional partnerships.

The February Board of Directors Meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın.

During the meeting, the activities of the previous period were comprehensively reviewed. In light of global economic developments, discussions focused on the new year’s objectives, priority areas of work and strategic planning. Participants also exchanged views on shifts in international trade balances and the steps that could contribute to Türkiye’s foreign economic vision.

As part of his engagements in Cairo, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın met with the management of the Egyptian Tourism Federation to discuss the current state of the tourism sector in both countries and potential areas of future cooperation.

During the meeting, common opportunities were explored in several areas, including human resource development in tourism, digital infrastructure and software solutions, health tourism, and transportation connectivity. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized that strategic cooperation to be developed between Türkiye and Egypt in the field of tourism would make significant contributions to the economies of both countries.

Within the scope of the visit program, a meeting was also held with Turkish businesspeople operating in Egypt and representatives of MUSIAD Egypt, hosted by the Turkish–Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (TUMIAD). The gathering, attended by H.E. Salih Mutlu Şen, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cairo, and the Commercial Counsellors of the Republic of Türkiye, provided a comprehensive platform to discuss the current state of Türkiye–Egypt trade relations, sectoral expectations, and opportunities for further cooperation.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın participated in the Egypt–Türkiye Business Forum held as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to Egypt. He attended the forum together with the Board of Directors of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK).

During the forum in Cairo, high-level public officials, leading business representatives, investors and prominent actors of the real sector came together to comprehensively discuss trade, investment, joint production and long-term cooperation opportunities between the two countries.

As part of the visit, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Salih Mutlu Şen, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cairo. During the meeting, the parties discussed the long-standing relations between Türkiye and Egypt, areas of cooperation ranging from education to the economy, and shared future objectives.

Within the framework of the program, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also met with Dr. Mohammed Youssef, Executive Director of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association, as well as Çağlar Göksu and Hakan Atay, Commercial Counsellors of the Republic of Türkiye in Cairo. During these meetings, investment, trade and education opportunities that could further strengthen and sustain the interaction between the business communities of the two countries were evaluated.

Led by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Aydın University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the Delightful Istanbul Program steadily carried out since 2014 was successfully held this year between 17–31 January 2026 with the participation of 110 international students from 21 countries.

Bringing together the city’s history, cultural heritage, and academic richness under one roof, the program continued to serve as a strong platform for international interaction, where young people from different regions developed a shared vision for the future through mutual understanding.

Expressing his gratitude to all academics and the dedicated university team who contributed to the success of the program, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın shared the following remarks;


“International student mobility forms the foundation of intercultural understanding and global cooperation. Delightful Istanbul is a powerful bridge that brings young people together not only with Istanbul but also with one another.”

As part of the EURAS Academy Program hosted by Al-Mustaqbal University, the President of the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, came together with academics from Iraq’s leading universities. The program was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq, Prof. Dr. Adnan İbrahim Abid Al-Jumaily.

This significant gathering, held on the historic lands of Babylon,the cradle of civilization, addressed in a comprehensive manner the transformation of higher education with a focus on quality, sustainability and global interaction.

During the Baghdad segment of the program, it was emphasized that transformation in higher education is only possible through intention, values, and a shared vision. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın underlined that a strong university structure is essential for building a strong future, noting that every step taken carries regional impact.

As part of his engagements in Iraq, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın met with Acting Rector of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadeq Hasan, and Dean Dr. Samir İbrahim Badrawi to evaluate potential cooperation opportunities in the field of higher education. During the meeting, productive discussions were held on developing academic partnerships and creating new areas of collaboration between universities of the two countries.

Within the scope of the visit, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also attended a working dinner hosted by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi. The program brought together representatives of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as administrators of the country’s leading and prestigious universities, during which comprehensive exchanges of views were held on strengthening regional cooperation, diversifying academic projects  and shaping a shared vision for the future.

The January Expanded Education Services Committee Meeting of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, with strong participation from distinguished representatives of universities.

During the meeting, the current challenges of the education services sector, proposed solutions, and areas requiring coordinated action were discussed in a comprehensive manner. Emphasizing the importance of collaborations that would support the sector’s sustainable growth, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın focused on concrete steps to be taken together with stakeholders.

In addition, the activity plans, targets, and roadmap for 2026 were discussed in detail and shaped through a spirit of collective wisdom.
