Former Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Vatican, Prof. Dr. Kenan Gürsoy, academic and intellectual Prof. Dr. Belkıs Gürsoy; Vice Chairman of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB), Salih Zeki Çakır; Board Member of TAV, Mehmet Erdoğan; and Prof. Dr. Bekir Karlıağa, one of the leading figures in the fields of Islamic thought and the history of civilization, came together with Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın at Istanbul Aydın University.

During the consultation meeting, comprehensive evaluations were conducted on higher education, civilizational perspectives, international relations  and the world of ideas. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın expressed his gratitude to the guests for this meaningful meeting which added value to the university’s academic environment through the sharing of knowledge and experience.

The January Management Meeting of Istanbul Aydın University, during which Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın met with the university’s senior management team to discuss the goals, priorities  and roadmap for 2026, was held.

During the meeting, strategic steps to further enhance quality in education, a sustainable institutional development approach and initiatives aimed at strengthening the university’s international vision were comprehensively evaluated.

Emphasizing that Istanbul Aydın University’s path to success is shaped by collective wisdom, team spirit and determination, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın expressed his gratitude to all colleagues who contributed to the process, stating that:

The 2025 Elective Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Business Councils of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) and the Commercial Diplomacy Awards Ceremony were held with the participation of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized that commercial diplomacy today gains meaning not only through numerical indicators but also through vision, trust, and a long-term strategic perspective. Stating that countries global strength is measured by the depth and sustainability of the commercial relationships they establish, he noted that DEIK’s approach makes significant contributions to Türkiye’s position in the international economy.

The January Executive Board Meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın.

During the meeting, global economic developments, Türkiye’s foreign economic vision, and the business community’s international roadmap were discussed from a comprehensive perspective. While opportunities and priorities within the international trade environment were evaluated, emphasis was placed on strategic steps to enhance Türkiye’s global competitiveness.

The January Board of Directors Meeting of the UFRAD Franchising Association was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın and hosted by Bülent Ünal, Chairman of the Board of TUYAP Fair Organization Inc. and İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager.

During the meeting, the preparation process of the Franchise Istanbul Expo—planned to be held on 16–19 April 2026 with strong international interest and high-level participation—was discussed in all its aspects. It was emphasized that the event is one of the most important gatherings shaping the sector, carrying brands onto the global stage, and serving as a key meeting point of the franchising ecosystem.

With the participation of the Former Minister of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye and 28th Term Gaziantep Member of Parliament, Abdülhamit Gül, the January meeting of the Istanbul Aydın University Western Platform was held.

During the meeting, Mr. Abdülhamit Gül shared important assessments on the principle of the rule of law, judicial independence, democratization processes, and the strengthening of social cohesion. His valuable knowledge and experience made a significant contribution to the platform’s discussion framework.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın expressed his gratitude to Mr. Abdülhamit Gül for attending the meeting despite his busy schedule and sharing his views and stated that the Western Platform would continue to address issues related to Türkiye’s social and political agenda through a spirit of common sense and collective dialogue.

The Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) held a productive meeting with Ms. Oana Maria Rebedea, Director for the Caucasus and Central Asia at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

During the meeting, concrete areas of cooperation that could be implemented in the coming period were discussed within the scope of joint projects, implementing partnership models, and international collaboration opportunities.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated that the academic network carried out by EURAS at both regional and global levels would make significant contributions to collaborations to be developed with UNDP.
