A Meeting was held with over 50 International Student Recruitment Agencies under the Chairmanship of Istanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın.
During the meeting, issues related to international student recruitment were discussed, and proposed solutions were evaluated. New ideas were exchanged based on the generated discussions. Subsequently, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın expressed his gratitude to everyone for their participation, and the meeting was concluded.”
The traditional iftar program was organized at Istanbul Aydin University (IAU). The iftar program, hosted by IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, took place at the T Block Social Sciences campus of IAU. Many guests attended the iftar program, including members of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Anti-Smoking Association (TSSD), members of the Turkish Franchising Association (UFRAD), BIL Educational Institutions, representatives from various country consulates, as well as academic and administrative staff and students of IAU.
Following the iftar dinner, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın expressed his gratitude to the valuable companions for their attendance. Additionally, plaques were presented to IAU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hakkı Aydın, IAU General Secretary Sebahattin Kutlu, IAU Corporate Consultant İrem Arman, and Private Secretary of the IAU President Tuğçe Koçkat, for their contributions to the successful organization of EURIE 2024 during the program.”
The 24th Ordinary General Assembly meeting of the Türkiye Anti-Smoking Association (TSSD) was held under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, President of the TSSD. During the meeting, new members of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board for the new term were elected.
In this context, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın made the following statements: “I wish success to our colleagues who have been assigned to their duties. We will continue to take stronger steps in the fight against the health and societal harms of smoking. Let’s continue working together for a healthy future!”
The Education Services Committee of the Service Exporters Association (HİB) and within the framework of the HİB Sustainability Action Plan Strategy Study, a Focus Group Meeting was organized. Chaired by Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, Vice President of the HIB Board of Directors and Chairman of the Education Services Committee, the meeting aimed to facilitate productive discussions to determine strategic steps for the future of the sector and sustainability. Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın emphasized, “We continue to progress by strengthening our efforts to support sustainability.”
The Board of Directors meeting of the Service Exporters Association (HİB) for the month of March was held. During the meeting, effective solutions were discussed regarding the current issues in the sectors, and there was an exchange of views on new plans and projects. Following the meeting, a dinner was organized where the Board Members came together.
Istanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın met with entrepreneur and IAU student Seyed Sepehr Moosavi, who achieved a first worldwide. Seyed Sepehr Moosavi won a gold medal in the Canada Inventors Competition with a fruit and vegetable drying machine operating on an electromagnetic system. In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın congratulated Moosavi on his success with the SM GLOBAL project, which can dry 4 tons of fruit daily using an electromagnetic system, allowing fruits to stay fresh for years without losing their vitamins or spoiling.
Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Istanbul, Mehdi Errami, visited Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) and held a meeting with the President, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın. Following a comprehensive discussion on educational collaborations between the two countries, plans for new objectives were made, and existing partnerships were evaluated. Assoc. Prof.Mustafa Aydın expressed his gratitude for their kind visit to IAU.
A Turkish Exporters Assembly and Service Exporters’ Association joint export target meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mustafa Gültepe, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM). The meeting saw significant participation.
During the meeting, assessments were made regarding the service export targets for the year 2028. Additionally, developments in the service sector, which reached a record-breaking $100 billion for the first time in 2023, and new period goals were discussed. In this context, emphasis was placed on the plans made in line with the established objectives.
The management of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) organized a meeting with Ahmet Misbah Demircan, the former Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism who was appointed as the Ambassador of Tunisia. The meeting took place within the framework of increasing Service Export in Tunisia. In this context, information was provided about the current situation of the sectors. After the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, the Vice President of HİB’s Board of Directors, wished Ambassador Ahmet Misbah Demircan success in his new position.
February meeting of the Western Platform was held. The guest speaker for this month’s Western Platform meeting was Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Yalçın, Deputy Chairman of the AK Party. Discussions were held on “International Security Strategies and Security Policies Implemented in a Unipolar World.” Politicians, academicians, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and administrators from Istanbul Aydın University participated in the meeting. After Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Yalçın’s speech, participants directed their questions to him.
