A documentary project has started on the life of the Azerbaijani statesman Neriman Nerimanov. The project, prepared by Baku TV, features Azerbaijani politician and diplomat Prof. Dr. Hasan Azizoğlu Hasanov. Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, who recently published Hasanov’s doctoral thesis on Nerimanov, shared his views and insights about the project.
Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, Istanbul Aydın University President, attended the 45th Anniversary Reception of the Victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution organized by the Consulate General of Iran in Istanbul. Making various remarks during the event, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın stated, “Iran-Turkey relations are not only a gateway to peace for both countries but also for the Middle East region. Academic collaborations between our universities will significantly strengthen the existing alliance between Turkey and Iran. We congratulate the brotherly Iranian people and the state through Consul General Ahmad Mohammad.”
The Western Platform meeting held its first February meeting, and the keynote speaker of the meeting was Prague Ambassador Dr. Egemen Bağış.
In the meeting that IAU Presindent Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, politicians, academics, and journalists attended, Dr. Egemen Bağış provided information about the EU process and regulations. There was also a mutual exchange of ideas on the topic, and questions from the participants were addressed.
Director General of International Trade Services at the Ministry of Trade, Tarık Sönmez, visited Istanbul Aydın University (IAU). IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın had a meeting with Tarık Sönmez, and mutual evaluations were made regarding service trade within this context.
Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, Service Exporters Association (HIB) Vice President and Education Services Committee President and members of the committee had their monthly meeting on Education Services. The meeting was attended by HIB Secretary General Dr. Fatih Özer and university representatives.
During the committee meeting, discussions were held on the activities organized for the education services sector by HIB. Additionally, there were evaluations on the current issues and proposed solutions in the sector, and an exchange of ideas took place regarding new projects.
President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO) and Service Exporters Association (HİB), Şekib Avdagiç, visited Istanbul Aydın University (İAÜ). IAU President Assoc.
Prof. Mustafa Aydın, held a meeting with Şekib Avdagiç. HİB Treasurer Member Mehmet Erdoğan also participated to the meeting. During the meeting, ongoing projects were discussed and evaluated. Additionally, there was an exchange of ideas regarding new projects, and preparations for existing plans were reviewed.
The opening of the 32nd exhibition of the UFRAD Franchising Association, Franchise Istanbul Expo Fair, organized in collaboration with TÜYAP, took place at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center. The fair featured participants from investors from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Iran, and 60 other countries, along with international franchise associations.
Organized in partnership with TÜYAP, a strong leader in the industry, the fair showcased successful, active, and dynamic brands. With franchise systems, the fair presented unique and different flavors from food brands that are results of Turkey’s rich history and cuisine. Additionally, prominent real estate and property consultancy brands, in proportion to Turkey’s large construction sector, were recognized. Many individuals admired the high-quality services provided in the education sector. Within this context, domestic and national software and digital innovations were acknowledged, bringing together franchise brands from different sectors.
On the first day of the Franchise Istanbul Expo Fair, a collaboration protocol was signed with the Iran Franchising Association by UFRAD Franchising Association.
During the opening speech at the fair held at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center, UFRAD President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın emphasized the importance of branding and warned, “If we do not create our own brands and ensure the global growth of the brands we create, we will be condemned to be dominated by international and well-known brands.”
The keynote speaker of the January meeting of the Western Platform, held with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the President of Istanbul Aydin University (IAÜ), and the faculty members of Istanbul Aydin University, was Mustafa Sani Şener, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of TAV Airports.
Following the presentation and evaluation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın made the following statement: “We listened to Mr. Şener’s vast knowledge and experience, especially regarding developments in the aviation sector. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Sani Şener for his participation.”
The fortieth session of the conference series titled “Conversations with Trade Advisors by HIB” organized online by the Services Exporters Association (HİB) operating under the umbrella of the Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM) was held on January 31, 2024, with a focus on Uzbekistan.
The online program, which began with an opening speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Vice President of the HİB Board of Directors, continued with presentations by Ahmet Melih Horata, the Trade Advisor in Tashkent, and Abdullah Keskin, Deputy Secretary-General of HİB.
Presentations containing detailed information about Uzbekistan covered topics such as the general economic outlook, investments, foreign trade, Turkey-Uzbekistan bilateral trade, and the service sectors. Following the presentations, questions from representatives of participating companies were answered.
