The DEIK Board of Directors December Meeting was held with the participation of Dr. Fatih Karahan, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, and board members.

The December Board Meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) Foreign Exchange Earning Services Working Group was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, DEİK Board Member and Chairman of the DEİK Foreign Exchange Earning Services Working Group.

During the meeting, comprehensive reports on sectoral issues were reviewed in detail, and solution-oriented approaches were developed. Additionally, key decisions were made, and a roadmap was established for planning future activities. The November Executive Board Meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) Foreign Exchange Earning Services Working Group was held under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, DEİK Board Member and President of the Working Group.The meeting focused on strategic steps and projects aimed at enhancing Turkey’s foreign exchange earning service sector to support sustainable economic development.

Discussions centered on increasing Turkey’s competitiveness in global markets, expanding the contribution of service exports to the economy, and advancing the sector on the international stage through new collaborations and projects.

Participants shared valuable insights and assessments, contributing to the formulation of a strategic roadmap for the sector. The meeting underscored a shared commitment to fostering unity and achieving economic goals, with the ultimate aim of positioning Turkey’s service sector as a global benchmark.

The October Board Meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) was held, focusing on strengthening Turkey’s international trade and creating new opportunities. Important topics were discussed in light of global economic dynamics, and steps were determined to ensure that Turkish businesses play a more active role on the international stage. The meeting emphasized increasing collaboration and partnerships, exploring new markets, and contributing to Turkey’s economic vision.

The meeting was also attended by Christian Wulff, the 10th President of the Federal Republic of Germany and Chairman of the German-Turkish Business Council. In his speech, Mr. Wulff highlighted the importance of strengthening commercial relations between Turkey and Germany and creating new business opportunities between the two countries.

A workshop of the DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board) Foreign Exchange-Earning Services Working Group was organized, with Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Board Member of DEİK, participating in the event.

During the workshop, the current status of Turkey in this sector and future opportunities were evaluated. Topics such as sustainability, new service areas, and the reshaping of workforce needs were discussed. The importance of not only staying competitive in existing markets but also creating new market opportunities and taking strong steps in this direction was emphasized.

Following the workshop, the DEİK Foreign Exchange-Earning Services Working Group’s Executive Board Meeting for October was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın. The meeting, which was attended by company representatives from various sectors, focused on addressing the current problems and proposing solutions for these sectors, as well as discussing the future activities of the Working Group and strategies to enhance Turkey’s potential in foreign exchange-earning services. Key decisions were made regarding projects to increase access to international markets and in line with the 2025 targets.

The first Executive Board meeting of the Foreign Exchange Earning Services Working Group under the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) took place. During this meeting, the work schedule was established, and preparations began for a large-scale workshop to be held in October.

The goal of the workshop is to create a strategic roadmap for the development of foreign exchange-generating service sectors and to identify the needs of the industry. In this context, DEİK Foreign Exchange Generating Services Working Group President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “In this process, where everyone is welcome to contribute, we will work together to build a stronger future in service exports!”

The August Board Meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) was held. As a DEİK Board Member, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also participated in the meeting, where steps to further strengthen the country’s foreign economic relations were discussed, with a focus on strategic planning.

In this context, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “We have made important decisions on entering foreign markets, increasing international collaborations, and ensuring that the Turkish business community plays a more active role on the global stage. We will continue to work resolutely to contribute to Türkiye’s economic growth.”

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the President of the Turkish Franchise Association (UFRAD), was elected as a board member at the 37th Ordinary General Assembly of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), of which UFRAD is a founding member.
