UFRAD July board meeting was held on 2023, July 4 via zoom. Among the items of the agenda were evaluation of membership applications and revision of previous board meeting minutes. UFRAD past and future planned activities were shared to all board members.
All board members discuss the current sector developments as they do each meeting. Ongoing activities and work plans were also discussed. The meeting ended with wishes and requests.
COPPEM Presidency Council and General Assembly was held. Presidency Council gathered before General Assembly, reviewed the preparations and evaluated the next term activities and projects of COPPEM. After that, at the General Assembly, ideas on cultural activities and equal opportunities were mentioned, previous-term activity reports were evaluated.
At the COPPEM – European Mediterranean Local and Regional Authorities Partnership Committee – Presidents Council and General Assembly Meeting held on 27 June 2023, the projects and suggested activities brought to the agenda by Istanbul Aydın University President and COPPEM Board Member Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, were evaluated. The following articles were all unanimously resolved by all COPPEM members.
1. The member countries of COPPEM should host at least one event each year that takes the pulse of current and world problems,
2. Organizing a special conference on illegal immigration and the problems of immigrants,
3. Organizing training programs in different, up-to-date fields that produce solutions to the world’s problems in each COPPEM country; launching the first program in Türkiye,
4. To implement intercity diplomacy much more effectively,
5. Contributing to the organized crime and terrorism conference to be held in October, with the academic dimension of the subject, with 2 law academicians from Istanbul Aydin University,
6. The results of the democratic elections last month in Türkiye and in Greece yesterday will contribute to the establishment of more productive and close relations between both countries and COPPEM members,
7. COPPEM, which has always embraced the work of the local governments of our region and their social, cultural and economic development by producing projects and useful models together, with an understanding about all politics; Evaluating the membership requests from Libya positively, regardless of region and city,
8. Hosting all the European-Mediterranean Region Local Authorities, Mayors and Governors in Istanbul with the COPPEM General Assembly to be hosted by Istanbul Aydın University in December with an international COPPEM Conference.
Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) “Motivation and Evaluation Meeting” was held in Marmaris with the participation of academic and administrative staff. At the meeting held at the end of the event that lasted 3 days, comprehensive evaluations about the new term projects and activities.
Listening one by one the ideas of the participants, Istanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın thanked those who contributed to the successful completion of the motivation meeting and the academic and administrative staff participated in the meeting.
“HİB Education Services Committee June Meeting” was held under the presidency of Service Exporters’ Association Vice President and Education Services Committee President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın and with the participation of representatives of many universities. At the online meeting, evaluations on practices in international student recruitment were made and current problems and solution offers were discussed.
The 31th session of conference series titled “HİB Interviews with Commercial Counsellors” that coordinated online by Service Exporters’ Association which operates under the umbrella of Turkish Exporters Assembly, was held on 21th June 2023 with the theme of “Austria”.
The online program, which started with the opening speech of HİB Vice President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, continued with presentation of Vienna Commercial Counsellor Ayşe Pelin Morgan, HİB Board Member and Freight Transportation & Logistic Services Committee President Murat Baykara, Assistant General Secretary Abdullah Keskin and committee members.
Including detailed information on service export in Austria in the presentations; Austrian economy and import-export of Austria, Türkiye-Austria bilateral trade, important service sectors in Austria and potential sectors subjects discussed. After the presentations, the questions from representatives of participating companies were answered.
“Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) 30th General Assembly and Champions of Export Award Ceremony” event was held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, T.R. Minister of Commerce Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, T.R. Minister of Labor and Social Security Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan, T.R. Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, T.R. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı and T.R. Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.
Service Exporters’ Association (HİB) Vice President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın also attended the ceremony with HİB President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat.
The MOU (memorandum of understanding) was signed between An-Najah National University and Istanbul Aydın University. In his speech at the protocol ceremony, IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın said “We have signed a comprehensive cooperation protocol within the scope of the IAU visit of Prof. Dr. Abdel Naser Zaid, President of An-Najah National University which is one of the leading universities in Palestine and Arab world. In the coming period, we will implement many projects together. I would like to express congratulations and also thanks for their visits to Prof. Dr. Abdel Naser Zaid and my dear friend Prof. Dr. Kherieh Rassas who is the one of managers of An-Najah National University and UNIMED President.”
The second term students of IAU-MEDYAPIM Academy of Cinema-Film which established in 2021 with the cooperation of Istanbul Aydın University and MEDYAPIM which is the leading firms of cinema-tv sector in Türkiye, graduated.
During the semester, students received training in these three different fields: “screenwriting”, “directing” and “producing”. The trainings were provided practically at IAU studios by faculty members of Faculties of Communication and Fine Arts and directors, scenarists and producers from MEDYAPIM’s sets.
In the ceremony held at IAU T Block General Necdet Timur Oditorium, graduation certificates were awarded to the students who successfully completed the education semester by MEDYAPIM President Fatih Aksoy, IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, IAU Rector Prof. Dr. Yadigar İzmirli and IAU Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Prof. Dr. Özer Kanburoğlu.
“Service Ceremony” was held at IAU for Former Küçükçekmece District Governor and 28th Term Bitlis Deputy Turan Bedirhanoğlu. IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın in his speech in the ceremony said “We would like to wish our 28th Term Bitlis Deputy, my dear friend Turhan Bedirhanoğlu, with whom we have implemented many beneficial projects for Küçükçekmece during our time together, successful and auspicious services in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.”
Turan Bedirhanoğlu said “I would like to express my pleasure for this program which was organized for me by our Istanbul Aydın University that we have implemented many projects during my duty of Küçükçekmece District Governorship term together. I would also like to thank IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın and all university staffs for their support during my term of office.”
After the speeches, IAU Rector Prof. Dr. Yadigar İzmirli and IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın presented a plaque and a bouquet to Bitlis Deputy Turhan Bedirhanoğlu. At the ceremony, a plaque also was presented Kırklareli Deputy Mr. Gökhan Sarıçam who was elected as a member of parliament in the 28th Term again for his labor.
İstanbul Deputy Halis Dalkılıç and new term Küçükçekmece District Governor Mehmet Tunç also occupied at the ceremony which a lot of important names attended. Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın hosted his guests at his office, wished success to both of them to serve our country well.
HIB Board Delegation under the presidency of HIB President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat visited to congratulate to the Ministers, which have just started their duties.
The delegation consisting of HİB Vice Presidents Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın and Salih Zeki Çakır, board members, HİB general secretary and assistant secretary general visited and congratulated to Türkiye Minister of Commerce Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat in his office.
Then, visiting T.R. Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, HİB Board Delegation made consultations on the future and development of the sector, new term activities about carrying the qualified tourism services of the country more forward.
The delegation held its next meeting in Presidential Palace, gathered with new Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and T.R. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu. HIB Board Delegation wished them success in their new duties.
The last meeting of the delegation was with T.R. Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan. The delegation members who visited Hakan Fidan in his office, shared their success wishes with him.
