The Nigeria program, the 52nd event of the webinar series titled “HIB Talks with Our Commercial Counselors” organized by the Service Exporters Association (HIB), was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın.
During the program, Abuja Commercial Counselor Erdal Fatih Tozoğlu shared with participants the latest economic data on the Nigerian market, opportunity areas for service exports and prospects for sectoral cooperation.
The “Service Sectors Committee Meetings” program organized by the Service Exporters Association (HIB) was held with the presence of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the program and shared his evaluations.
Within the scope of the program, the priorities, expectations and roadmap of the service sectors were discussed in line with the export vision put forward by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Türkiye’s 2026 targets. Strategic steps aimed at making Türkiye’s potential in service exports more visible on a global scale and sustainably strengthening its competitiveness were also addressed.
The Qatar program, the 50th event of the webinar series titled “HIB Talks with Our Commercial Counselors” organized by the Service Exporters Association (HIB), was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın.
During the program, Doha Commercial Counselors Muhammet Fatih Çetinkaya and Sinem Eğlenen shared up to date evaluations regarding the Qatar market, providing comprehensive information on opportunity areas in service exports, the investment environment, and sectoral cooperation prospects.
The Education Services Evaluation and Consultation Meeting of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) was held with the valuable participation of the Chairpersons of the Boards of Trustees of universities.
During the meeting, the participants comprehensively discussed Türkiye’s current position in the export of education services, the structural and operational issues encountered in international student recruitment, strategic steps to enhance the global competitiveness of universities, and a shared roadmap for the upcoming period.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized that the export of education services is not merely an economic activity but also a strategic field that strengthens Türkiye’s academic capacity and international reputation, highlighting the importance of collective wisdom and coordinated action.
The February Board of Directors Meeting of the Service Exporters Association (HIB) was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın.
During the meeting, the activities carried out in the previous period were comprehensively reviewed. Discussions also focused on the objectives for 2026, priority areas of work and the strategic roadmap ahead. Participants exchanged views on policies and practices that would support sustainable growth in service exports.
The January Expanded Education Services Committee Meeting of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, with strong participation from distinguished representatives of universities.
During the meeting, the current challenges of the education services sector, proposed solutions, and areas requiring coordinated action were discussed in a comprehensive manner. Emphasizing the importance of collaborations that would support the sector’s sustainable growth, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın focused on concrete steps to be taken together with stakeholders.
In addition, the activity plans, targets, and roadmap for 2026 were discussed in detail and shaped through a spirit of collective wisdom.

During the meeting, projects to be implemented within the scope of the new year’s planning, sectoral priorities and strategic steps to further advance service exports in international markets were discussed.
Organized by the Service Exporters’ Association (HİB) and chaired by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the workshop titled ‘2053 Vision in International Student Recruitment in Türkiye’ was held with strong participation from public institutions, universities, and sectoral stakeholders.
Participants included Tarık Sönmez, Director General for International Service Trade of the Ministry of Trade, Mustafa Efe, Head of International Relations Department of the Council of Higher Education, Mehmet Ali Akdağ, former Education Counselor in Warsaw and representative of the Ministry of National Education, Yusuf Karataş, Head of Visa Department of the Presidency of Migration Management, Harun Aydoğmuş, Deputy Director General for International Labor Force of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, TİM President Mustafa Gültepe, and distinguished representatives of universities.
The issue of international student recruitment was addressed not only within the framework of current needs, but also from a long-term, strategic, and sustainable perspective in line with the 2053 vision.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized that the workshop outputs were shaped through collective wisdom and provide a strategic foundation that will enhance Türkiye’s global competitiveness in education. He underlined that policy proposals adding qualitative depth to the internationalization process will further strengthen Türkiye’s brand value in higher education.
With the participation of Chairpersons of Boards of Trustees of universities, the ‘Education Services Evaluation and Consultation Meeting’ was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın and hosted by the Service Exporters’ Association (HİB).
The current challenges of foundation universities — a major strength of Türkiye in service exports — proposed solutions, and planned activities for the upcoming period were comprehensively addressed. Evaluations focused on the internationalization of higher education institutions, improving educational quality, and strengthening Türkiye’s position in education services exports.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated that a highly productive and guiding consultation platform had been formed with the contributions of the Board of Trustees’ Chairpersons, stressing the importance of collective wisdom in enhancing quality and global competitiveness in education.
At the December Board of Directors Meeting of the Service Exporters’ Association (HİB), the activities implemented and collaborations developed throughout 2025 were evaluated in detail.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized the importance of sustainable growth in service exports and stated that new initiatives to strengthen Türkiye’s global service export capacity would constitute strategic priorities in the coming period. Policies and areas of work to enhance competitiveness in international markets were also discussed.
