IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, within the scope of his Italy contacts, visited the Embassy of Rome and had a meeting with Ambassador of Rome Mr. Ömer Gücük.
Visiting also Ambassador of Vatican Mr. Lütfullah Göktaş, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın had a fruitful exchange of ideas about higher education activities in Turkey and Europe. Expressing his thanks due to their hospitality, Aydın presented a plaque on behalf of Istanbul Aydın University.
Turkish Republic Minister of Treasury and Finance Dr. Nureddin Nebati was guest of Intellectual Thought Platform, which operated under the umbrella of İstanbul Aydın University. Touring Istanbul Aydın University campus before the conference Dr. Nebati, got information about campus facilities and research interests.
Dr. Nureddin Nebati gave detailed information on the current situation of the economy as conference speaker of Intellectual Thought Platform and answered the questions on the subject. Istanbul Aydın University academicians, politician and high bureaucracy attended to the conference where country and world economy developments conveyed.
Küçükçekmece City Council Executive Committee Meeting was held in IAU hosted by Council President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın.
Reviewing on previous period activities, planning of new projects were evaluated at the meeting. Otherwise, Küçükçekmece City Council Executive Committee members gave information about the projects of the commissions.
A conversation titled “Let’s Create the Future Together” which organized by IAU Leaders Clup, was held at İstanbul Aydın University. National Team Athlete Derya Güneşli, TUCEM General Manager Bora Çelik, Aytaç Media Drama Manager Onur Ataç and Aydınlık Journal News Director Nadir Temellioğlu attended the summit.
Meeting with young leaders IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, listened their individual journey and gave them important advices. Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın attended the productive meeting, which took the form of mutual exchange of ideas with young people. It ended with the presentation of plaques by Aydın to the young leaders.
“10th November Ataturk Remembrance Event” was held in IAU. At the event, which held with active participation of students and academicians in Necdet Timur Auditorium; after the stand in silence and the turkish national anthem, IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın and IAU Rector Prof Yadigar İzmirli made their opening speeches.
Then, under the conductorship of the teacher of IAU Faculty of Education Music Teaching PhD Erdal Şahin, music concert of choir that consisting of IAU Music Teaching Faculty students was held.
Afterwards, IAU Faculty of Science and Literature History Department Lecturer PhD Naim Babüroğlu made a comprehensive presentation about Ataturk.
The ceremony ended with presentation a plaque to Naim Babüroğlu by IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın and IAU Rector Prof Yadigar İzmirli.
Istanbul Aydin University 2022-2023 Academic Year opening ceremony was held in Halit Aydın Campus with the opening lesson of T.R. Defence Industry President Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir. İstanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, IAU Rector Prof. Dr. Yadigar İzmirli, Vice Rectors, deans, lots academicians, administrative staffs and students attended the ceremony which III. Halit Aydın Science and Research Awards found the owners.
After stand in silence and the Turkish National Anthem, IAU Rector Prof. Dr. Yadigar İzmirli and IAU President made their opening speeches. Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın emphasized that İstanbul Aydın University which has an innovative vision, closely follows recent developments in the fields of industry and technology and it exhibits an active identity about both academy-sector collaboration and scientific works, in his speech. In this context, he stated that he wished T.R. Defence Industry President Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir to give the first lesson of IAU 2022-2023 and that he was very glad of his honoring.
T.R. Defence Industry President that gave the opening lesson of IAU 2022-2023 Academic Year, made a comprehensive presentation that grounds on the leap in the fields of industry and technology. “If you don’t have security; neither your economy and education, nor your social and political conditions, nor your other works do not matter. Because you can not reach the goal.” said Demir and drew attention to the importance of accelerated works in the field of security field.
In addition, Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir gave advices to the youth. “Being strong means being knowledgeable. The knowledge is created under this academic roof. Nowadays, knowledge may be easily accessible but the important things are understanding, interiorizing and applying correctly the knowledge.” said Demir and underlined the need to successfully transfer acquired data to the practice. Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir continued his words in the way that “Today, everyone speaks of our UAV and UCAV. Our products became a world brand. And this is a concrete indication that we are applying knowledge correctly.” And he gave important messages to the youth about the need to use time efficiently.
A video about the past and present of Istanbul Aydın University and a pleasant music concert by IAU Faculty of Education-Music Education Department were also included in the ceremony.
29th October Republic Day was celebrated at IAU. In the ceremony that performed at A Block Hasan Fehmi Büyükbayram Conference Hall; after the speeches of IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın and IAU Rector Prof. Dr. Yadigar İzmirli, IAU USAM Manager Assistant Prof. Naim Babüroğlu made a speech titled “Atatürk and Cumhuriyet”.
IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın mentioned acquirements of our country with Republic in his speech and he said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the Great Leader Atatürk and all our heroes in the War of Independence.”
IAU USAM Manager Assistant Prof. Naim Babüroğlu mentioned historic process until establishment of the republic and struggle of Veteran Mustafa Kemal in this period.
Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) Institute of Graduate Studies Graduation Ceremony was held in T Block Necdet Timur Auditorium. IAU Institute of Graduate Studies Manager Prof. Ragıp Kutay Karaca, IAU Rector Prof. Yadigar İzmirli and IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın made opening speeches in the ceremony that attended by students graduated from master and doctorate programs and their parents. Then, diplomas presented to first successful students of the faculty by IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın and IAU Prof. Rector Yadigar İzmirli. At the end of the ceremony, traditional pinning the names on the Graduation Register and throwing caps ceremony were held.

In the breakfast meeting, who participated of IAU Rector Prof. Dr. Yadigar İzmirli, Vice-Rectors, Deans and Directors of vocational schools, previous terms works evaluated, plans and projects for new academic term discussed. Then, evaluating solution offers towards current problems, best wishes and desires for 2022-2023 academic were expressed.
İAÜ Mütevelli Heyet Başkanı Doç. Dr. Mustafa Aydın; Trabzon Fen Lisesine ziyarette bulunarak, Lise Müdürü Coşkun Çolak ile görüştü. Görüşmede Trabzon Fen Lisesinin faaliyetleri ile ilgili bilgiler alan Aydın, okulu gezerek mevcut imkânlara yönelik incelemelerde de bulundu.

IAU PRESIDENT ASSOC. PROF. MUSTAFA AYDIN VISITED TRABZON SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL
Istanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın visited Trabzon Science High School and met with the Principal Coşkun Çolak. Receiving information about Trabzon High School Activities, Aydın toured the school and examined into current facilities.
Expressing his thanks for their hospitality after the school tour under the guidance of Trabzon Science High School Principal Coşkun Çolak, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın also stated that they are proud of Trabzon’s achievements in education.
