Azerbaijan Edutime Education and Development Center headmasters and teachers visited Istanbul Aydın University for in service training. Then, IAU President had a meeting with participants headmaster and teachers. At the end of the meeting, he presented his thanks to particularly Farid Shahbazli, all teachers who participated in the training and all who contributed.
The workshop titled “The Future Of Universities- The University Of Future” organized in cooperation with Istanbul Aydın University (IAU), Turkey University Leadership Improvement Program (TULIP), Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) and Anatolian Education And Culture Foundation (AKEV) held at IAU. Determining the problems in the current education system, solution offers for the problems and new projects for the future were dwelled on in the workshop.
In the workshop hosted by IAU Higher Education Research Center, subjects such as the situation of universities today, what the university could be like in the future, where exactly it should be and how these can be achieved were discussed. Then, the mentioned solution offers for these topics were evaluated.
Istanbul Aydın University November Board Meeting held under the presidency of IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın with the participation of vice rectors, deans and administrative staff.
In the meeting, evaluations on the 2023-2024 Academic Year works were made and discussing new projects, ideas were exchanged.
“Atatürk Commemorative Ceremony and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Panel” which was organized in partnership with Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Science and Literature and IAU Atatürk Principles and History of the Turkish Revolution Research Center (ATAM), held on 10 November Atatürk Memorial Day at IAU.
IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın made the opening speech and said “Memorializing the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in the light of education and science, understanding his principles and reforms are of great importance to move forward powerfully into the future. We would like to thank all the speakers, our teachers, our students and all who supported us by participating in the panel organized within the scope of this purpose. We will always continue to remember the importance of memorializing Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and keeping his heritage alive.”
Kütahya Ceramic President Sema Güral Sürmeli, Turkish Airlines President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Service Exporters’ Association Treasurer and Board Member Mehmet Erdoğan, HIB Board Member and Tourism Services Committee President Hediye Güral, HIB Board Member and Software & IT Services Committee President İlhan Bağören, YASAD Software Manufacturers Association President and HIB Software & IT Services Committee Member Gönül Kamalı visited Istanbul Aydın University. Mentioning the university opportunities, IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın presented his thanks to all guests for their visits.
IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın visited Cairo with Turkish Trade Delegation led by T.R. Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and coordinated by Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM).
Within the scope of Egypt contacts, visiting Yunus Emre Institute Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın made evaluations on the situation of Egypt higher education and international students works between two countries with Cairo Education Counsellor Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aslan. He had a meeting with Cairo Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Emin Boyraz about 360-degree education.
Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın participated Türkiye-Egypt Business Forum organized by Turkish Exporters Assembly and the Federation of Egyptian Industries within the scope of International Manufacturing Fair inaugurated by the President of Egypt Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Hosting in the IAU stand in the fair T.R. Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Cairo University academicians and business people who are entrepreneurs in the field of education collaborations, he had comprehensive meetings about education collaborations between the two countries. Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın gave information to Egypt Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir Saleh and T.R. Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat about the work on Egypt-Türkiye University planned to be established in Cairo. He said “We will continue to work to achieve greater success by developing new projects with the cooperation between the two countries.”

Dr. İlyas Topsakal, T.R. Cairo Military Attache Colonel Ahmet Tosun.
Istanbul Aydın University 2023-2024-year Academic Inauguration Ceremony took place. To the ceremony, T.R. Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, academic and administrative staff and students participated.
T.R. Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır who gave the opening lecture of the ceremony said “The future of education depends on improving the quality management in higher education. It shouldn’t be limited to just traditional methods, innovative teaching and learning approaches should be included into higher education. In this context, our universities which are always rapidly integrated with technological developments, will focus on training qualified manpower in world-developing technology fields such as the Internet of Things, 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, quantum, cyber security, augmented reality and smart transportation. I would like to proudly state that in a world where internationalization and student mobility are increasing, today, the Turkish higher education system has reached an important position on the international platform with its globally proven universities and qualified scientists. For this reason, foreign demand for our country’s higher education is increasing day by day. We wholeheartedly believe that Türkiye will soon be one of the 10 countries that have most international students.”
At the end of the ceremony Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın said “I hope that the 2023-2024 Academic Year will be beneficial for our country and university and I would like to express my respect and gratitude to our esteemed Minister Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır who honored us with his presence at our invitation.”
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Minister of Health Dr. Hakan Dinçyürek visited Istanbul Aydın University and met Istanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın.
IAU President Doç. Dr. Mustafa Aydın and TRNC Minister of Health Dr. Hakan Dinçyürek made various examinations together in the IAU MV Medical Park Florya Hospital equipped with the latest technology and the multidisciplinary laboratory of Medical Faculty. Then, discussing collaborations in the field of health between TRNC and TR, mutual assessments were made.
Istanbul Aydın University Institute of Graduate Studies Graduation Ceremony held with the participation of IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, academic staff, students and parents.
Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, at the ceremony, said “We are rightfully proud and pleased to see the progress we’ve made since the establishment of our university and the students we’ve graduated at our ceremony today. My Dear Graduates, when you’re planning your future, don’t go where the wind takes you away; on the contrary, be the one who controls the wind!”. At the end of the ceremony, plaques were presented to the graduates who came in.
