The management of the Iran Franchise Association visited Istanbul Aydın University and met with the President, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın.
During the meeting, possible cooperation opportunities in the fields of education and franchising were discussed.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın thanked the delegation of the Iran Franchise Association for their visit and emphasized the importance of international collaborations.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, together with Mr. Mehmet İlker Haktankaçmaz, the Civil Administration Chief of Istanbul Airport, visited the Şahinbey BİL Tutoring School in Gaziantep. During the visit, a productive evaluation meeting was held with the institution’s administrators.
Prof. Dr. Aydın highlighted that sharing the same vision with a dedicated team in education always makes them stronger. He stated that BİL Education Institutions continue to work with determination and belief all across Turkey.
As part of his program in Gaziantep, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also visited the Governor of Gaziantep, Mr. Kemal Çeber, in his office. After the visit, he thanked the Governor for his kind hospitality.
Prof. Dr. Aydın also visited the Panorama 25 December Museum, which presents Gaziantep’s struggle for independence in a powerful way. After the visit, he said, “This unique museum shows the traces of the Antep Defense impressively. It is a place that must be seen to hear the voice of history and witness this great struggle.”
The Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) May Board Meeting was held on May 13, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın. During the meeting, current projects and international cooperation activities were discussed in detail. Prof. Dr. Aydın emphasized the importance of building stronger academic partnerships both in the region and globally.
After the meeting, Prof. Dr. Aydın said, “We are continuing our journey with determination to build a strong academic bridge from Eurasia to the world.” He also stated that EURAS will keep working on new strategic projects to strengthen cooperation among member universities.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the 21st General Assembly of the Küçükçekmece City Council, which he described as an important part of participatory local governance.
The meeting was hosted by the Küçükçekmece Municipality and attended by Küçükçekmece District Governor Mr. Mustafa Anteplioğlu, Deputy Mayor Mr. Sedat Özkan, city council members, political party representatives, NGOs, and students.
During the meeting, many important topics were discussed in depth — from environmental awareness projects to programs encouraging the active participation of young people for the future of Küçükçekmece.
After the general assembly, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also joined the board meeting, where he congratulated the newly elected board members and said, “We will continue to work together in unity and cooperation for a stronger Küçükçekmece.”
The participants also discussed development projects for the district and determined a roadmap for the new term. Prof. Dr. Aydın said, “We will keep working for Küçükçekmece with a participatory, transparent, and sustainable management approach.”
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President Istanbul Aydın University, attended the 28th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, which was held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
After the assembly, Prof. Dr. Aydın shared his thoughts and congratulated the MÜSİAD community for their valuable contributions to Turkey’s development. He said, “I believe this strong organization will continue to contribute positively to our business world and our country.”
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also wished success to Mr. Burhan Özdemir, who was appointed as the new President of MÜSİAD, and expressed his belief that Mr. Özdemir will carry the MÜSİAD flag even further.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of Istanbul Aydın University, attended a meaningful event organized to honor the memory of academics and students who served at the university since 2003 and have passed away.
The tree-planting event took place at IAU Silivri Application and Research Center. Prof. Dr. Aydın said, “Keeping the memories of our valuable professors and beloved students alive is a shared responsibility. It is a legacy for both nature and loyalty.”
As part of the event, 300 saplings were planted. Prof. Dr. Aydın sincerely thanked all students and colleagues who contributed to this special day. He shared his feelings by saying, “May their resting place be in heaven, and their memories stay with us forever.”
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of Istanbul Aydın University, attended the meeting hosted by Dr. Faruk Özlü, Mayor of Düzce and former Minister of Science, Industry and Technology. During the meeting, Osman Okyay, President of the Defense Industrialists Association and Vice President of Kale Group, shared important information about the development process of our defense industry.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated that he listened carefully to Osman Okyay’s comprehensive evaluations and that Turkey’s breakthroughs in the field of defense industry were very proud. Prof. Dr. Aydın thanked Minister Dr. Faruk Özlü for hosting the program and Osman Okyay for his valuable remarks.
Istanbul Aydın University and Cyprus Aydın University, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, took part in TEKNOFEST 2025, the world’s largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, which was held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus this year. Prof. Dr. Aydın thanked the academic and student teams who successfully represented our universities in this great organization where the heart of science, technology and innovation beats.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın said, “The future is with the youth, we are strong with the youth” and expressed that they are proud to take part in TEKNOFEST TRNC, the center of technology and production, where young people flap their wings to their dreams. Prof. Dr. Aydın, who had the opportunity to examine innovative projects on site, once again witnessed the interest and productivity of young people in technology.
On the first day of TEKNOFEST, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın met with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Ersin Tatar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu and Minister of Tourism and Environment of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Fikri Ataoğlu. During the meetings, comprehensive evaluations were made about the projects of the young people and ideas were exchanged for the development of cooperation in the field of technology.
In addition, during the meeting with Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, President of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, the contributions of universities to technology and the work of young people for the future were discussed.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın highlighted that Istanbul Aydın University and Cyprus Aydın University continue to build the future with a vision that believes in the power of innovation, national technology and youth.
On the same day, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın examined the construction works of the dormitory building planned within the Cyprus Aydın University (CAU), which is in full progress. It was emphasized that the dormitory building, which was designed considering the comfort and needs of the students, will be in service very soon. Prof. Dr. Aydın thanked everyone who contributed to this important project, which was implemented in order to provide students with better conditions.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, referring to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech on the third day of TEKNOFEST 2025, emphasized that this great organization is not just a technology festival; it is a symbol of a great vision in which a nation, two states march towards the future with one heart.
Prof. Dr. Aydın stated that as an educator, he was proud to be a part of this vision. He stated that they are working hard to offer young people a future characterized by national values and shaped by science and technology.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın said, “We are not only existing in these lands, we are building the future here.” Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın once again expressed his belief in the youth and the efforts they continue with this belief.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın came together with his team members and entrepreneur students at the dinner organized at the end of the third day of TEKNOFEST.
In this meaningful meeting, Prof. Dr. Aydın expressed his gratitude for the hard work and devoted efforts shown during the event and said, “Walking with companions who sincerely believe in the same goal is the greatest strength”.
Pointing out the importance of team spirit and common vision, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized that the contribution of each participant is valuable and said that this unity is the basis of future success.
DEIK Board Member Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın participated in the 4th DEIK Italy-Türkiye Business Forum held in Rome as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Italy.
Organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), this important platform, which aims to move the economic relations between the two countries forward, started with bilateral business meetings. The forum offered a strategic ground to increase the sustainable trade volume between Türkiye and Italy and to create new business opportunities.
As part of the program, DEIK and Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo signed the first memorandum of understanding to promote the internationalization of Italian businesses operating in Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated that this significant step lays the foundation for long-term and sustainable economic cooperation not only for the two countries but also for the region as a whole.
The forum also featured sector panels in strategic areas such as infrastructure, sustainable energy, circular economy, advanced manufacturing, global hubs and connectivity, and defense industry. The event continued with the opening speeches of Mr. Mustafa Tuzcu, Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and Mr. Edmondo Cirielli, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın also met with the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during the forum. This summit, which took place with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Meloni, marked a new era in the economic relations between the two countries.
Istanbul Aydın University and Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the Eurasian Universities Association (EURAS) Academy Joint Program hosted by Amirkabir University of Technology during his visit to Iran. The program, which was attended by 13 leading universities of Iran, emphasized the importance of acting with a sense of social responsibility as well as academic cooperation. The program offered an important platform at the international level with the aim of increasing the common impact in education and raising the leaders of the future.
During the meetings hosted by Prof. Dr. Alireza Rahaei, Rector of Amirkabir University of Technology, EURAS and Iranian universities discussed joint projects in strategic areas such as artificial intelligence, energy, aviation, industrial cooperation and science-technology parks. During the meetings, the commitment to further academic and technological cooperation between the universities of the two countries was confirmed once again.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın thanked all universities and participants who contributed to the organization of the program and pointed out that the key concept of the 21st century is “acting together”. He highlighted the importance of taking common steps that will give hope to young generations as Turkish and Iranian universities.
