Chaired by HIB Educational Services Committee President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the meeting brought together members who shared valuable insights and contributions regarding the future of the education sector. A unified determination to build a stronger future was evident throughout the discussions.
The meeting reiterated the importance of the education sector as the greatest investment in the future, emphasizing the critical role of the committee in this process.
The Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) convened its November Board Meeting under the chairmanship of HIB President Şekib Avdagiç, with Vice Presidents Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın and Salih Zeki Çakır, as well as other board members in attendance.
The meeting focused on current strategies for advancing service exports, with in-depth evaluations of projects aimed at supporting the sector. Members emphasized the goal of achieving sustainable growth in service exports through innovative approaches and contributing to Turkey’s stronger position in the global service industry.
Reaffirming HIB’s commitment to supporting the country’s service export initiatives, it was expressed that collective efforts would continue towards building a stronger Turkey.
The October Board of Directors meeting of the Turkish Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) was held, with Vice President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın in attendance.
During the meeting, current issues faced by various sectors within service exports were thoroughly discussed, and comprehensive evaluations were made to develop effective solutions. Strategic steps to enhance the sectors’ international competitiveness were then addressed, and a roadmap for the coming period was established. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın remarked, “As HIB, we will continue to work with determination to fully realize Turkey’s potential in service exports and to advance our sector even further”
The September Board Meeting of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) was held under the chairmanship of HIB President Şekib Avdagiç, with the participation of board members and HIB Vice President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın.
During the meeting, comprehensive evaluations were made on the current issues facing our service sectors and effective solutions to address these challenges. In this context, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “As HIB, we will continue to take concrete steps to further advance our country’s service exports and strengthen the global competitiveness of our sectors.” Following the discussions on the agenda items, İGE A.Ş. General Manager and Board Member Fatih Tuğrul Topaç was hosted. Subsequently, evaluations were made on enhancing the effectiveness of İGE loans for service sectors.

The meeting, attended by HIB Vice President and Chairman of the Education Services Committee, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, included a detailed discussion on the current issues faced by different sectors of service exports. Comprehensive evaluations were made to develop effective solutions for these problems. Following this, the meeting focused on strategic steps to enhance the international competitiveness of these sectors and set a roadmap for the upcoming period.
HIB Vice President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın attended the signing ceremony of the Export Academy Cooperation Protocol, which was held with the participation of the Minister of Trade, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, and the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar.
In this context, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “As part of the training and seminar programs organized by our Ministry of Trade to provide our exporters with a competitive edge in international markets, we have witnessed the establishment of the ‘Export Academy.’ This important step was taken to enhance the quality of the workforce in the field of foreign trade and to enrich educational content with support from the academic community. This signing ceremony has contributed to institutionalizing trade education in our country. The Export Academy will enhance our competitiveness in foreign trade and significantly contribute to training a qualified workforce. I hope that this cooperation between our Ministry of Trade and the Council of Higher Education will be the beginning of steps that will further elevate our country’s export potential.”
MEETING WITH TUNISIAN UNIVERSITY RECTORS

The meeting included detailed discussions on collaborations in higher education, joint projects, and various future initiatives. Significant decisions were made to strengthen the ties between Tunisia and Türkiye in the field of education, with a focus on enhancing academic partnerships and student exchange programs. Opportunities for collaboration in research and development projects were also explored.
Following the meeting, a MOU was signed between Sfax University and Istanbul Aydın University. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın stated, “With the protocol signed with Sfax University, we have further strengthened our academic and scientific cooperation. This agreement will provide significant opportunities in areas such as joint research projects, student and faculty exchange programs, and cultural interactions. We are establishing a strong partnership that transcends borders, supporting scientific and academic development for both Türkiye and Tunisia.”

During his speech at the Turkish Universities Fair held in Tunisia, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasized that universities should have national and global goals in training qualified individuals who will become responsible citizens of Türkiye and the world.
In an interview at the fair, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın highlighted the significance of the “Study in Türkiye” brand, stating, “We inaugurated the Turkish Universities Fair with the participation of 20 of our universities in Tunisia. As the Service Exporters Association (HİB), we are working intensively to open new markets for our educational services and attract more international students to our country. I extend my gratitude to our Tunisian Ambassador Ahmet Misbah Demircan for his support and presence at this important event. Together, we are stepping towards a stronger future in education! Making our country an international attraction center in higher education and demonstrating the quality of our educational services is a national issue. Since 2010, we have increased the number of foreign students from 30,000 to 340,000 today. The role of our ‘Study in Türkiye’ brand has been crucial in this success. Through fairs, promotions, and events held in over 30 countries each year, we highlight our country’s strength in international education. According to UNESCO data, Türkiye is among the top ten countries for international student numbers. Our goal is to be among the top five countries supplying international students. Educational diplomacy is of critical importance for the future of our country!”
