Yükseköğretim Meclis Toplantısı Gerçekleşti

İAÜ Mütevelli Heyet Başkanı Dr.Mustafa Aydın, TOBB Türkiye Yükseköğretim Meclisi toplantısına katıldı.

TOBB Türkiye Yükseköğretim Meclisi, Meclis Başkanı Bekir Okan başkanlığında, vakıf üniversitelerinin mütevelli heyet başkanlarının katılımlarıyla gerçekleştirdiği toplantısında YÖK Başkanı Prof. Dr. M. A.Yekta Saraç’ı misafir etti.

Eğitim ve öğretimin bir ülkenin istikbali için en önemli faktörler olduğunu belirterek sözlerine başlayan YÖK Başkanı M. A.Yekta Saraç ise, bir ülkenin kurumlarının ele geçirilmesinin bilim için, insanlık için ne kadar kötü sonuçlar doğurabileceğini meclis üyeleriyle paylaştı.

15 Temmuz sonrasında kapanan üniversitelerdeki öğrencilerin garantör üniversitelere nakledilme işlemlerinin tamamlandığını dile getiren Saraç, bu sürecin öğretim üyeleri, ülkemizdeki öğrenciler ve yabancı uyruklu öğrenciler üzerindeki etkisini ortaya koydu.
Türkiye’de ki yükseköğretim sisteminin, Avrupa’dan daha büyük bir hacme sahip olduğunu söyleyen YÖK Başkanı, 7 milyon 198 bin öğrenciyi, 181 üniversiteyi, 156 bine yakın öğretim elemanını sistemin bünyesinde barındırdıklarını dile getirerek, hiçbir ülkede olmayan yabancı öğrenci sayısında oransal artış olduğunu da memnuniyetle belirtti.

“Sektörün sorunları ele alındı”

Üniversitelerin Mütevelli Heyet Başkanlarının katılımlarıyla gerçekleşen toplantıda; bu yıl dokuzuncusu yapılması planlanan Türkiye Sektörel Ekonomi Şurası’nda dile getirilecek olan öncelikli sorun ve çözüm önerilerini ele alındı.



Higher Education Council Meeting Held

IAU president Dr. Mustafa Aydin has attended TOBB ( The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey) Turkey Higher Education Council meeting.

TOBB Turkey Higher Education Council has hosted CoHE (Council of Higher Education) president M.A. Yekta Sarac, Ph.D., under the auspices of the Council chairman Bekir Okan, with the participation of the presidents of foundation universities.

Speaking at the meeting, Yekta Sarac, Ph.D. of CoHE emphasized the importance of education as being the most important factor in country’s future and noted the negative outcomes in terms of science and humanity once a country’s establishments are seized.

Noting that the students at the universities that are closed after July 15th are now transferred to guarantor universities, Sarac also mentioned the effects of this process on faculty staff, students and international students. CoHE president also mentioned the volume of Turkish higher education for being greater than the European higher education with 7,198,000 students, 181 universities and nearly 156,000 faculty members.

 “Issues of Sector Discussed”

Participated by the presidents of foundation universities, the meeting’s agenda included the issues and proposals that will be discussed during the Turkey Sectoral Economics Council meeting.
