The 30th session of conference series titled “HİB Interviews with Commercial Counsellors” that coordinated online by Service Exporters’ Association which operates under the umbrella of Türkiye Exporters Assembly, was held on 14th June 2023 with the theme of “Slovenia”.

The online program, which started with the opening speech of HİB Vice President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, continued with presentation of Ljubljana Commercial Principal Consultant Asuman Kılıç Türkeş, HİB Board Member and Freight Transportation and Logistics Services Committee President Murat Baykara, HİB General Secretary Dr. Fatih Özer and committee members.

Including detailed information on service export in Slovenia in the presentations; Slovenia general economic data, Slovenia-Türkiye foreign trade data, Slovenia business culture, general assessment of service sector and sub-items of service sector subjects discussed.

After the presentations, the questions from representatives of participating companies were answered.

Service Exporters’ Association & Şanlıurfa Governership Press Conference was held with the participation of Şanlıurfa Governor Salih Ayhan.

HİB President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, board members and representatives of non-governmental organizations attended to the meeting. Evaluations on the development of Şanlıurfa tourism and enhancement the awareness of Göbeklitepe Excavation Area were made.

HİB June Board Meeting was held under the presidency of HİB President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat and the participation of HİB Vice Presidents Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın and Salih Zeki Çakır and board members in Şanlıurfa.

 “Butterfly Effect on Digital Economy” by Insider CEO Hande Çilingir was made within the scope of the board meeting. They visited to Göbeklitepe Excavation Area, after the meeting.

Istanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın attended a dinner invitation hosted by Panjab Governor Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman in the Governor’s Mansion on the last day of his meetings in Pakistan. During the meeting, friendly relations between Türkiye and Pakistan were discussed.

After paying various visits in Pakistan for strengthening cultural and academic collaborations, Istanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın visited Punjab University. Coming together with the graduate students of the university, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın made an interview. In addition, the cooperation protocol signed between Istanbul Aydın University and Punjab University.

Then, attending the broadcast of NEO TV which is the one of leading tv channels in Pakistan, Aydın evaluated Pakistan-Türkiye bilateral relations, historic friendship between the two countries and cooperation in the field of higher education. In addition, he made evaluations on these topics to Daily Nai Baat, one of the most important publications in Pakistan and mentioned activities in Superior University.

Istanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, at Lahore Superior University where he went with the invitations of Superior University President Prof. Dr. Ch. Abdul Rehman and Rector Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman, held an acquaintance and experience share meeting with the rector, deans and administrative staffs.

Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın made the official opening of Superior University Research Hospital. Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın’s name was given to the hospital. Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın was welcomed with cheers by those in the ceremony area, also visited various units of the university after the inauguration held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Istanbul Aydın University June Board Meeting was held. IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, IAU Rector Prof. Dr. Yadigar İzmirli, Vice Rectors, deans and administrative staffs attended the meeting.

Previous term activities were discussed and ideas on current activity plans and projects were exchanged.

Turkish Anti-Smoking Association (TSSD) President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın made statements about “31th May Stop Smoking Day”. In this context, Aydın emphasized the negative effects on health of electronic cigarettes which are offered as an alternative to quit smoking by the cigarette industry and underlined that people are exposed to misdirections.

Turkish Anti-Smoking Association (TSSD) President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın said “Electronic cigarettes which are offered as an alternative to people who want to quit smoking cause huge danger for both our own health and community health care. Such cigarettes are encouraged by the cigarette industry, claiming that they are ‘less harmful’. This is misguiding and misleading people.”
