The Istanbul Aydın University Board Meeting for October convened, with the presence of key figures including IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, IAU faculty members, and administrative personnel.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the activities conducted by the university’s faculties took place, accompanied by the sharing of a variety of recommendations. Furthermore, discussions centered on academic plans and strategic initiatives, facilitating the exchange of ideas among the participants.
TEKNOFEST which is the biggest aviation, space and technology festival and held in the 3 biggest cities of our country on the 100th anniversary of the Republic, continued its magnificent journey in İzmir after İstanbul and Ankara. The festival with “From Roots to the Sky” motto, was held on 27 September-1 October 2023, embraced and came together millions with the vision of “National Technology Move” for the fully independent Turkiye.
At the festival that continues for 5 days held at Çiğli Airport; many activities such as technology and entrepreneurship competitions, air shows, air and land vehicles exhibition, educational workshops, vertical wind tunnel, simulation experiences areas, space exhibition, planetarium demonstrations, stage shows were exhibited.
Istanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın was at IAU stand with IAU TEKNOFEST team during the festival. Meeting important names such as TUBITAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, Boğaziçi University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Naci İnci, Hacettepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran, Chief of Defence General Metin Gürak, T.R. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdukadir Uraloğlu and T.R. Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Aydın made important examinations during the festival.
Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, on the second day of TEKNOFEST, met IAU TEKNOFEST team, entrepreneurs and students at the dinner. At the end of the meetings, he presented his thanks to all who contributed.
Istanbul Aydın University 2022-2023 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held on 23-24 September 2023. To the ceremony, IAU President, administrative and academic staff, parents and students attended.
Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, in his speech at 18th Graduation Ceremony, said that “As of the 2022-2023 Academic Year we’ve completed, we are proud of having our 18th graduates today. On the 100th anniversary of our Republic and our Türkiye; As Istanbul Aydın University, we are happy to leave behind 20 years crowned with success and to raise young people who are internationally educated and described as people of the world.
I wholeheartedly congratulate our parents, who deserve his pride, and I would like to express my congratulations and thanks to all valuable academicians who made us experience the joy of having our 18th graduates.”
Prof. Dr. Anwar Masadeh from Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College in Qatar visited Istanbul Aydın University to discuss collaborations and projects. The meeting also included discussions about the Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE) scheduled for February 26-29, 2024
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş visited Istanbul Aydın University and he met IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın. Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın presented his thanks and a gift to him for his kindly visit.
Istanbul Aydın University September Board Meeting was held with the participation of particularly IAU President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, IAU academicians and administrative staff.
At the meeting held just before the start of the 2023-2024 Academic Year, evaluations were made about the intense work period left behind. Discussing the activities done, new suggestions offered, plans for the next term done and ideas on strategies were exchanged.
For a fully independent Türkiye, embracing and bringing together millions with the vision of “National Technology Move” TEKNOFEST Ankara opened its doors with great enthusiasm and excitement.
TEKNOFEST, which was held for the first time in 2018 and organized for the eighth time this year together with Ankara; was held under the leadership of the Türkiye Technology Team (T3) and T. R. Ministry of Technology and Industry, with the participation of 125 stakeholder institutions, including ministries, presidencies, public and private sector institutions, academic institutions and media companies, which a play critical role in Türkiye’s national technology ecosystem.
İstanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın participated in 3 days of TEKNOFEST. On the first day of TEKNOFEST, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) President Prof Hasan Mandal visited IAU stand.
Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, on the second day of TEKNOFEST, participated a dinner with IAU TEKNOFEST team, entrepreneurs and students. At the dinner, current technological developments were evaluated and ideas on the projects the academy can produce in the field of technology, were exchanged.
Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, on the third day of TEKNOFEST, met Council of Higher Education President Prof Erol Özvar and then T.R. Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu. Gaziantep Governor Kemal Çeber and Düzce University Rector Prof Nedim Sözbir also visited IAU stand.
COPPEM Presidency Council and General Assembly was held. Presidency Council gathered before General Assembly, reviewed the preparations and evaluated the next term activities and projects of COPPEM. After that, at the General Assembly, ideas on cultural activities and equal opportunities were mentioned, previous-term activity reports were evaluated.
At the COPPEM – European Mediterranean Local and Regional Authorities Partnership Committee – Presidents Council and General Assembly Meeting held on 27 June 2023, the projects and suggested activities brought to the agenda by Istanbul Aydın University President and COPPEM Board Member Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, were evaluated. The following articles were all unanimously resolved by all COPPEM members.
1. The member countries of COPPEM should host at least one event each year that takes the pulse of current and world problems,
2. Organizing a special conference on illegal immigration and the problems of immigrants,
3. Organizing training programs in different, up-to-date fields that produce solutions to the world’s problems in each COPPEM country; launching the first program in Türkiye,
4. To implement intercity diplomacy much more effectively,
5. Contributing to the organized crime and terrorism conference to be held in October, with the academic dimension of the subject, with 2 law academicians from Istanbul Aydin University,
6. The results of the democratic elections last month in Türkiye and in Greece yesterday will contribute to the establishment of more productive and close relations between both countries and COPPEM members,
7. COPPEM, which has always embraced the work of the local governments of our region and their social, cultural and economic development by producing projects and useful models together, with an understanding about all politics; Evaluating the membership requests from Libya positively, regardless of region and city,
8. Hosting all the European-Mediterranean Region Local Authorities, Mayors and Governors in Istanbul with the COPPEM General Assembly to be hosted by Istanbul Aydın University in December with an international COPPEM Conference.
Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) “Motivation and Evaluation Meeting” was held in Marmaris with the participation of academic and administrative staff. At the meeting held at the end of the event that lasted 3 days, comprehensive evaluations about the new term projects and activities.
Listening one by one the ideas of the participants, Istanbul Aydın University President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın thanked those who contributed to the successful completion of the motivation meeting and the academic and administrative staff participated in the meeting.
“HİB Education Services Committee June Meeting” was held under the presidency of Service Exporters’ Association Vice President and Education Services Committee President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın and with the participation of representatives of many universities. At the online meeting, evaluations on practices in international student recruitment were made and current problems and solution offers were discussed.
