Hindistan Chandigarh Üniversitesinin düzenlediği “Yükseköğretim Kurumlarının Geleceği” konulu çevrim içi konferans gerçekleştirildi. 

İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi (İAÜ) Mütevelli Heyet Başkanı Doç. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, konferansa konuşmacı olarak katıldı ve dijital kültür bağlamında yükseköğretim geleceğini değerlendirdi. 

Doç. Dr. Aydın, konuşmasında üniversitelerde pandemiden sonra değişen eğitim sistemine uyum sağlama açısından sanal eğitimin önemine değindi. Aydın, üniversitelerin tarihsel orijini, toplumsal amacı ve varoluşu gereği “bilgi-belge” paylaşımının ötesinde, sosyalizasyon süreçlerinin en üst derecede gerçekleştiği, entelektüel ruha sahip devingen mekânlar olduğunu belirtti. Aydın, teori ve onun bilgisinin elde edildiği pratiğin ana mekânları olan üniversitelerin tek başına sanalı ya da kampüsü seçmek yerine her ikisini de seçerek değişen eğitim sistemi ve yükseköğretimin karmaşık problemler bütününe cevap verebilme noktasında ayrı bir öneme sahip olduğunu vurguladı. 

Yüz yüze ve çevrim içi eğitimin harmanlanarak verildiği hibrit eğitimin önemine dikkat çeken Aydın, teknolojik gelişmelerin ışığında üniversitelerin teknik altyapılarının buna uygun şekilde geliştirmesinin önemli olduğunu söyledi. Hem öğrenci hem de öğretmen için hibrit eğitim modeli hakkında bilgilendirmelerin de olması gerektiğine işaret eden Aydın, “Yükseköğretimin geleceği hem sanal hem de kampüs perspektifinden geçer. Dolayısıyla yükseköğretimde de hibrit modeller olmazsa olmazdır. Yükseköğretim kurumları pandemi benzeri sınamalara her zaman maruz kalabilir. Dolayısıyla ivme kaybetmeden, nicelik ve nitelik anlamında fire vermeden hibrit sistemlere hızla geçiş sağlaması gerekmektedir.” ifadelerini kullandı.

“WE NEED TO SWITCH THE HYBRID SYSTEMS FAST”

An online conference on “The Future of Higher Education Institutions” organized by Chandigarh University, India was held.  

The president of Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın attended the conference as a speaker and evaluated the future of higher education in the context of digital culture. 

In his speech, Aydın emphasized the importance of virtual education in terms of adapting to the changing education system in universities after the pandemic. Aydın stated that universities, due to their historical origin, social purpose and existence, are dynamic places with an intellectual spirit, where socialization processes take place at the highest level, beyond the sharing of “information-document”. Also that universities, which are the main places of practice where theory and knowledge are obtained, have a special importance in terms of responding to the complex problems of the changing education system and higher education by choosing both instead of choosing the virtual or campus alone.  Aydın drew attention to the importance of hybrid education, which is given by combining face-to-face and online education, Aydın said that it is important to develop their technical infrastructures accordingly in the light of technological developments for universities. And he pointed out that we should inform both students and teachers about the hybrid education model, Aydın said, “The future of higher education passes through both virtual and campus perspectives. Therefore, hybrid models are indispensable in higher education. Higher education institutions can always be exposed to pandemic-like tests. Therefore, it should enable rapid transition to hybrid systems without losing momentum and without loss in terms of quantity and quality.”
