The 18th session of conference series titled “HİB Interviews with Commercial Counsellors” that coordinated online by Service Exporters’ Association which operates under the umbrella of Turkish Exporters Assembly, was held on 21th December 2022 with the theme of Tanzania.
The online program, which started with opening speech of HİB Vice President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, continued with presentation of Dar es Salaam Commercial Counselor Onur Bilge.
In the presentation, which includes detailed information on service export in Tanzania; was given place to various subjects such as general economic data of Tanzania, foreign trade and social security practices, taxes, investment areas, incentives, logistic infrastructure, staple commodities in exportation. After the presentation, the questions from representatives of participating companies were answered.
Education services cooperation protocol signed between Turkish Airlines and Service Exporters’ Association, which operates under the umbrella of Turkish Exporters Assembly.
The launching meeting of cooperation protocol signed on 20 December 2022 in THY Head Office was held with the participation of THY Board of Management and Executive Committee and HİB President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat and HİB Vice President and Education Services Committee President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın.
With signed protocol was aimed to increase the education services export which foreign exchange inflow to the economy and has big importance with its contribution as a soft power factor. HİB Vice President and Education Services Committee President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın stated that strategic cooperation with THY has importance in terms of gaining more international students to our country and ensuring that international students and their parents have advantageous flight opportunities.
In his assessment on the subject, “We organize fairs, promotions and activities with our “Study in Türkiye” brand every year in more than 20 destination countries and we aim to get higher our service export income in this way. We are working hard for Turkey to achieve its goal of being a country with qualified knowledge and manpower, and to become into a regional education base. This cooperation with THY is also an important step to close us to our goals. Therefore, to speak, our national carrier THY will soon fly education. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude to whole THY family, particularly Dear President Ahmet Bolat, and to everyone who contributed to actualized the cooperation between us.” said Aydın stated that “raising the student quality” and “enhancing the international academician mobility” are among their goals.
After Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, speaking HİB President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat said “THY is making serious effort for not only transportation, but also for the point of promotion of our country. I believe that this protocol we signed today, will be a big power for education services export. I hope this step will be beneficial for our country and service exporters.”
The 17th session of conference series titled “HİB Interviews with Commercial Counsellors” that coordinated online by Service Exporters’ Association which operates under the umbrella of Turkish Exporters Assembly, was held on 7th December 2022 with the theme of Indonesia.
The online program, which started with opening speech of HİB Vice President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, continued with presentations of Jakarta Commercial Principal Consultant Erkan Kiper and Jakarta Commercial Counsellor Burak Avcı.
Including detailed information on service export in Indonesia in the presentation, the economic indicators in Indonesia, foreign trade and import-export data, Turkey – Indonesia bilateral trade, Indonesia service sector and items subjects discussed. After the presentation, Representatives’ questions of companies were answered.
HİB Gastronomy and Catering Services meeting was held on 1 December 2022 under the presidency of Hib Vice President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın. Gastronomy and catering sector representatives also attended the meeting. The situation assessment on sector discussed at the meeting and fruitful consultation offered about the problems and their solutions.
The 16th session of online conference series titled “HİB Interviews with Commercial Counsellors” that coordinated online by Service Exporters’ Association which operates under the umbrella of Turkish Exporters Assembly, was held on 23th November 2022 with the theme of Libya.
The main speaker of the meeting which was moderated by HİB Vice President and HİB Education Committee President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, was Tripoli Commercial Principal Consultant Yusuf Yıldız. A detailed presentation about service export in Libya was made by Yıldız and the questions from participant companies were answered.
November Meeting of Education Services Committee of Service Exporters’ Association which operates under the umbrella of Turkish Exporters Assembly was held on 21th November 2022 in Dış Ticaret Kompleksi.
HİB General Secretary and committee members attended the meeting which held under the presidency HİB Vice President and HİB Education Services Committee President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın. At the meeting, international activity plans for 2023, current problems and solution offers in the international student recruitment process were evaluated. Ideas were exchanged and short and medium-term action plans were emphasized in the meeting. In addition, a presentation was made by BMI officials attending the meeting.
The event titled “Service Export: Information Sector” with the scope of Türkiye Export Mobilization Project, was held on 18th November 2022 in İstanbul Turkuvaz Media Center with the participation of T.R. Minister of Commerce Mehmet Muş.
HİB Vice President and HİB Education Committee President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın also made a speech on panel themed “Service Export Vision of Türkiye, Opportunities and New Incentives” that coordinated within the summit.
Making important evaluations on service sector, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın pointed out the strategic important of the information sector in his speech at the panel. Emphasizing that the informatics field has a very serious potential in the sector, Aydın mentioned that a strong informatics substructure is essential in order to take service exports to higher levels.
The 15th session of conference series titled “HİB Interviews with Commercial Counsellors” that coordinated online by Service Exporters’ Association which operates under the umbrella of Turkish Exporters Assembly, was held with the theme of United Kingdom.
The online programme which started with the opening speech of HİB Vice President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, continued with presentation of London Commercial Counsellor Abdurrahman Deniz.
In the presentation that includes detailed information about service export of United Kingdom, was given place to subjects such as commercial view of United Kingdom, general market information, Türkiye – United Kingdom bilateral economic relations, Türkiye-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement and current situation of service sector in United Kingdom. After the presentation, the questions from representatives of participating companies were answered.
The 14th session of conference series titled “HİB Interviews with Commercial Counsellors” that coordinated online by Service Exporters’ Association which operates under the umbrella of Turkish Exporters Assembly, was held on 9th November 2022 with the theme of Germany.
The online programme, which started with opening speech of HİB Vice President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, continued with presentation of Berlin Commercial Counsellor Berrak Bilgen Beşergil.
In the presentation, which includes detailed information on service export in Germany; was given place to subjects as economical and commercial views of Germany, sub-components of service export in Germany, Germany- Turkey bilateral trade and service export. After the presentation, the questions from representatives of participating companies were answered.
On October 19, 2022, the fourth meeting of the online conference series called “HİB interviews with Commercial Counsellors,” organized by the Service Exporters’ Association, which works under the auspices of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, was held with Belgium as its focus.
Starting the opening speech of HİB Vice President Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Aydın, the online program continued with the presentation of Brussels Commercial Counselor İsmail Gencay.
In the presentations that involves detailed information on service export in Belgium; subjects such as Belgium service sector, supports and incentives, taxation procedures, bilateral trade between Belgium and Turkey and investment opportunities included. After the presentation, questions from representatives of participating firms answered.
